Best Doggie Bag!
What a great pet carrier! I bought this for my 10 lb Yorkie mix. But as soon as I unpacked and opened up the bag, my 16 lb Siamese cat jumped in and slept the entire afternoon in it!. My Yorkie is able to stand, sit and turn around in this bag. He loves having both ends open so that he can just turn around inside and pop his head out the other end when he wants a closer look at something. There is a tether inside on a swivel which I attach to his harness. He's safe inside and doesn't get tangled when he turns. I haven't used this as a car seat yet, but I received extra (long) straps with the bag and I imagine it should work well. We haven't been on a plane trip yet either, but it appears sturdier than previous carriers that he managed to scratch apart at the venting/fabric seams. While a bit taller than his previous airline-standard carriers, the upper sides of the bag can squish down a bit. But the lower sides and particularly the bottom are very sturdy. Which made it a little bulky and uncomfortable as a backpack, but my height (or lack of - I'm 5'2") had quite a bit to do with that. The straps can be easily adjusted to hand carry or shoulder carry (most comfortable for me) and it even comes with a removable shoulder/hand pad. I almost got the bag without the poo bag holder. But the price for this one was so good that it was a better buy with the holder and I'm very happy I got it. It holds standard size rolls of poo bags and it's very, very handy. If this bag could be improved, I would ask for good sized pockets at both ends so I could also carry a collapsible water dish and extra treats. The small zipped pocket behind the poo bag holder holds only a small baggie of treats and a thin leash. On the side opposite the poo bag holder under the mesh panel, I'd also like to see a stretchy mesh holder for a horizontally held water bottle. That would make the bag a 6 start buy.My dog gets a lot of attention in this bag, but we can also be discreet. We've been allowed into restaurants and shops that don't normally allow pets, because of this bag. I had both ends open when we went, but personnel seemed to be reassured because he's securely inside what looks like a large handbag or backback. Put the vents over each end (they handily snap inside the bag when not in use) and if your dog is quiet, most people probably won't even realize you have a dog in there!I also got the bicycle attachment and after a couple of short trial runs, my dog seems to really enjoy his rides. And yes, again, he gets a lot of attention when people see his little head appearing around from behind me as we're riding. The bag and attachment are sturdy enough that I have no issues with him riding with me, even when he turns around, it doesn't create noticeable weight shifts. All in all - a great buy, absolutely no regrets whatsoever!

Great Concept. Terrible Execution.
I was so disappointed when this arrived since there aren't many options like it available. It had clearly had a pet in it before and returned. There was hair and food particles stuck in it. That aside, the end cap rounded zippers don't even pretend to stay shut at all. The side foams that cover the windows were very crunched down and don't stay in place, so those were useless. I expected at least minor structure in the bottom but there is none at all. I think the material and top zipper were of acceptable quality. And that was about it. Back to the drawing board!

I'd say 6 - 8 lb dog might fit comfortably in it
This bag seems well made but here's the caveat: Description said it will hold dogs up to 20lbs. NOT. My dog is a 14lb toy poodle and no way would he fit in the bag. If you want your dog to tuck his head in, I'd say 6 - 8 lb dog might fit comfortably in it. A Chihuahua would be comfortable. I like the look of the bag but sadly i had to return it.

Not approved for our 9lb Chihuahua on US Airways flight
After reading all the positive reviews I thought this carrier would work great for our cross country flight with our Chihuahua from Orlando to San Diego. When we arrived at check in the US Airways supervisor walked up and asked to see the inside of the carrier. She said it didn't look like he could stand up and circle around, so she said we needed to get another carrier! As you can imagine, panic set in over the thought of potentially missing our flight if we had to leave the airport to find a carrier. Luckily Orlando International sells "approved" carriers in their baggage claim. $60 for a super cheap, flimsy carrier that wasn't worth $10 in materials. When we got on the plane, we found that the carrier was actually three inches too wide to fit under the seat! We had to push the sides in and even then we couldn't fit the carrier completely under the seat.I will say that the Petego is made from high quality materials so we were satisfied with that. And the bag isn't a complete waste since we can use it to transport our Chihuaha in the car. So my advice is to spend the extra money on the Petago Jet Set Pet Carrier if you are flying, or if you have already purchased this carrier for a flight, make sure you go to the airport and have the supervisor for your airline check the bag and put it writing if he/she approves it for your flight.

Good, but could be better
I bought the bag as I needed something that would allow me to bring my dog on my bicycle, use on an airplane, and use as an everyday carrier. This bag does do all of that, but there are some points that could be improved upon:- The clips that are used to attach it to the Petego Bicycle Connection are very, very difficult to unclip - I have to carry around a set of pliers as I would not be able to unclip it without them (while it means its securely attached, I would suggest the manufacturer use another kind of clip).- As noted by another reviewer, the zipper is a bit flimsy - and it unzips very easily (which isn't a problem with my old dog, but a potential problem if a dog wants to escape) and I anticipate the zipper will be almost impossible to manage with cold hands next winter.- The protruding pocket for the dog baggies is in the way - as it means that the opposite side is always the side that will be towards me when using the carrying straps, which as the zipper goes in the opposite direction, is a nuisance.I would also suggest the manufacturer make it look less like a pet carrier, for those of us who prefer to travel with our pets incognito.
