TjernlundDH2P Dehumidistat for Fresh Air Supply Fans Model

For some reason searching for de-humidistats was very difficult for me. I finally got lucky and found this device and it is absolutely perfect. I have some ventilation and condensation issues right now in my crawl space, so I got this device to turn on 4 fans and a sump pump if the humidity gets too high. Its absolutely perfect. Its a larger device than I thought, approximately 4" wide and 6" tall. Very sturdy construction. I tested it thoroughly by holding it over a humidifier I keep on hand for sick-days and it kicks on no problem after a minute of being held in the vapor, then turns off about a minute later when removed from the vapor.Critical Note: There is an amperage limit on this device, 7.0 according to the label on the face, so be very careful how much load you put on it. My fans and sump pump total about 4 amps. Yes, you must look at each device and the power consumption values and add them up. If your fan/pump/etc only lists the power usage in Watts, there are simple conversion formulas that you can google, its simple (hint: W/V=A, A*V=W, and standard outlet voltage in the USA is 110V).

I bought this to run a dehumidifier in my crawl space because the humidistat in the dehumidifier did not seem to be working. When I received the DH2P I was disappointed that one of the receptacle's and switches did not work. I decided rather than send it back I could probably fix it since one side of the receptacle worked and the other did not it was probably just a loose wire. So I drilled the 4 rivets and removed the cover and discovered who ever built it removed the receptacle bridge on both sides of the receptacle rather than one side as they should have. Replaced receptacle and it works fine. I would give this five stars if it had been assembled properly because it works fine now. But very poor quality for assembly.

Does not kick on when it should.

I installed this in a matter of minutes. I had to call support because one outlet wasn't working. They were very prompt in taking the call and quickly determined I had a switch off. Idiot me had not noticed the switches at all.They were great.

I used it to "bypass" the malfunctioning dehumidistat in an expensive unit in my crawl space. I have the dehumidifier set to "always on" and I let this unit control the humidity. I have two of these and both have worked perfectly, one for over a year the other for eight months. These units saved me from paying for expensive repairs and they are far better built and more reliable than the original, built in dehumidistat!

It works well. Wish cord was replaceable or longer. As long as cord is long enough it’s super easy. Box containing outlets is riveted together so there is no access for replacement of the cord. On the plus side, the cord is long enough for most applications

I'm a little skeptical as to whether the humidity sensor is accurate or not... According to this device, it's 50% humid in my basement, when other sources are telling me that it's somewhere between 30-40%. Either way, I adjusted it based on trial and error..

installed easily and works great. good quality with 2 receptacles and on and off switch to each of them plus the on and off with the humidity level which can be easily set.
