Uncle Jack's 3 Piece Ceramic Knife Set Black Blade with Stainless Steel Ergonomic Handle

There are both positives and negatives. The knives are very comfortable in my hand. The weight between the blade and handle is excellent. The blades are extremely sharp. Though they are ceramic, the blades are the color of stainless steel, which looks nice. However, within 2 weeks of receiving the knife set, the handle completely fell off of one blade. I had not used the knife improperly, nor had I dropped it. I contacted the seller who was excellent to work with. They replied quickly and sent me a replacement knife quickly. Since then, however, the very tip of another knife has broken off. I doesn't effect the usefulness of the knife, but it's disappointing. From another company, I bought knife blade protectors so that the blades aren't damaged in the drawer. They also protect my fingers from accidental cuts as I reach into the drawer. The protectors aren't the right size, but they fully cover the blades.

Update: 13 months later I am buying another set. Mail back for sharpening? Why? The set is $20 and I use them daily, and will probably only throw away the tiny one because I use it the most and it's finally *starting* to dull to the point it feels like a steel knife that's probably nearing time to sharpen. These are great knives. Buy them. I definitely prefer them to the Kyoceras that I used to buy and mentioned in my previous order.. Plus, the mustache print. Now have a perfectly clean 1" square bald spot on my forearm. Oops :)Can't speak for how they old up compared to two 5" Kyocera knives I wore out, but they feel very solid and look great. The Kyoceras, at $30something each, were excellent quality but they had this toy-like look and feel to them was very out of place.

This seemed like a good set of knives. For a while. They are nice looking. Decently sharp, though not as sharp as I would have expected. I got them around Christmas, my first new set of knives in over 7 years! And less than two months later, two of them are broken. First the tip broke off of one. The next time I tried to use it the blade fell out of the handle. When I switched to another knife from the set to try to finish the job, the tip broke off that one too. Right into a piece of food. I'm glad I found it! I switched to my old knife, my old reliable that I've had for more that 10 years, and had no more trouble cutting up the remainder of the food. This knife set was nothing more than a waste of money! The whole set is going straight in the trash!! No sense risking another one breaking apart in the food.

Wow... very impressed with these knifes. One of the most solidly built knives I've owned. As a set of three, they satisfy all purposes in the kitchen.I don't have to do all the researches in amazon to buy knifes for meets, vegetables and fruits. This one set of 3 knives solve all the problems. Besides that,these are the best quality knives i have seen in a long time. They are sharp and sturdy so i know that these will withstand all the tough kitchen cutting jobs. I love the handle, it is so easy to hold. Everything works perfect for me!

They are not very sharp. Good for veggies and fruits, but don't do well with meat.

These are some of the best knives I have ever owned. I bought them because I bought a set of knives in the past that I thought was good because the price and reviews where good. News flash don't believe everything you read, but I am telling you if you want a set of knives that will cut everything like it is soft butter then Uncle Jack's knives are the best knives you can get.

I do not believe they are stainless steel. They don't say anything about dishwasher safety. Very slippery handle for a sharp knife. I don't trust the material at all.

The knife set looks very nice and is wrapped elegantly. They are super harp, so be very cautious when using it. Keep them away from children. They are very sturdy but don't feel heavy.This is the first time I use ceramic knives. I am very impressed with this knife set. I wish I could have them year ago. They are the best knives of the same kind I've seen so far.
