Information/tool
This is such a great little tool. I love the thermometer when I'm in the outdoors. Compass and whistle are a nice bonus. Light weight. I would've given this five stars if the thermometer had been able to be read upright when hanging from the string.

This is one of the worse things I've ever ordered from Amazon.The whistle is an absolute dud. It can't be heard any distance and has a very weak sound.The thermometer did not work at all. It is very lightweight which is good but is made of cheap plastic. I would not consider it dependable for a backpack trip. I plan to send it back.

malfunctions
I barely used it, because I purchased to give as a gift, therefore I was surprised when all of a sudden the light stopped working, it just stayed on, the button stopped working entirely. I don't have kids or grandkids living with me, so I can't put it on them, nor am I in habit of dropping my bag/purse, I am not a careless person. But, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Not a great whistle!
It seems durable, the compass is a great touch. But the whistle blows but takes some effort. It's not like the good Ole metal whistle that are loud and effortless.

The description oversold it
I was so disappointed! Flimsy. Flashlight and compass did not work. Can't see the thermometer to read it.It was not at all what I thought I was getting so ordered another brand.

I guess in freezing weather the ball sticks... but I like the old style better...
