Two years and it’s now in the landfill
We had a Kirby that I just hated! It was heavy, always smelled like burning rubber, and kicked back debris constantly. I got rid of it and bought this. I just used it and after already running my iRobot minutes before, it pulled out nearly a tank full of pet stuff from the living room alone. I love the different floor options and suction control (that brush roll has some power!).. I’m really looking forward to the roller not getting wrapped up! I’ve always been a fan of shark but the Kirby chick yanked my heart strings and I made a bad choice. Never again. Now the kids have no excuses since it’s lightweight! It even did along the baseboards without a fuss!! Very pleased (so far-it’s literally minutes old) bonus- I can clean rugs I’ve havent been able to in a year bc the Kirby would eat them! This is magic!Update- I used the hardwood setting and vacuumed up cat litter in our bathroom without any kickback!Update update- i still love it a week later! Probably more now. If I could marry it and it could financially support me, I would!Update update update: it’s now 3 was later and we are still very happy together. I took this to work and it did fantastic. People were seriously amazed that this wasn’t something super expensive or commercial oriented. The roller bar underneath did fantastic. No tangles and it was easy to remove things I accidentally ran over that I shouldn’t have. Oops! We had a carpet of used staples removed and I forgot about it as I sucked every one up without any fear of getting pegged in the legs. This seriously beats any vacuum I have ever owned, Kirby and dyson included.Update- 3 months later abs the roll brush stopped working. I contacted shark and they sent me a new one after sending back my old. So keep your box bc it’s super hard to find a vacuum shaped box to return it in!Update-down to one star. 2 years later and it’s awful. It’s kicking everything back out and just now, it stopped sucking altogether. When I stand it up to use the hose, it’s like it’s not even powered on anymore. I’ve maintained it and cleaned it regularly. No idea why it’s done this and now I’m not sure what to do-Update-2.5 years and it’s in the trash. It stopped suctioning, kicking back everything, hose broke in multiple places, and filters just seem to stop it up even brand new ones.. goes to show that quality is definitely not a standard in products anymore. Very disappointed. Don’t buy this one unless you are looking to trade in every two years.

Not recommending
It takes time to get use to with manoeuvring. I’m disappointed for the money, there’s a lack of attachments which, in my opinion should have been included. It comes with 4 attachments... two go together in one spot, there’s another spot for another attachment, which I consider as a partial attachment ( the other part is sold separately, which doesn’t make sense and is a disappointment) and there’s no place for the last attachment which can be considered as a duplicate. The other attachments are sold separately, which usually comes as a set with other vacuum manufacturers. The hose could be at least another 8 inches longer to save the vacuum from constantly falling over and the hose hasn’t been stretched too far. The suction is good! I recommend keep shopping around before making a final decision. I am keeping it as a spare because it’s too much of a hassle for me to return. Unfortunately, I can’t make a recommendation. The biggest negative is it’s not stable enough to keep up without falling over and lack of attachments.

Very impressive!
Was a little disappointed that the power pet brush is sold separately, as I assumed it came with it, given this is the Pet Pro model, however, Customer Service at Shark was amazing, and I got the power head at a discounted price shipped directly to my door in Canada. As for the vacuum itself, I just did my little screened porch carpet, bare floors, and furniture, and I was amazed at the amount of dirt it picked up.Pros: excellent suction, power beater bar does an excellent job, love the swivel action which makes it easier to move it around, attachments are easy to connect and remove, hose and wand are early to detach and use.Cons: a little heavy, and it tends to fall over easily when using the wand in detached mode if you are too far from the unit. It also doesn't seem to have onboard storage for all the attachments, only two, so other attachments have to be stored elsewhere, which is a little inconvenient. It also is a bit noisy.Overall, I would recommend it.

Broke in a month
Vacuum worked great for a month then the roller just randomly stopped working. Contacted Shark about a warranty claim. Due to Covid-19 they are not doing repairs, so they will send me a new one. However, I have to pay a shipping fee and it takes 4-6 weeks. Okay, that's super annoying but fair enough. And I have to cut the cord first so I can even use the vacuum. Today is the 6 week mark and nothing. Still hasn't shipped. I have now been waiting longer for my replacement vacuum then I actually got to use the original one.Be warned.

Hands down on suction power
My carpets haven't been this clean in years! It is amazing. The hose is long enough to get up my 13 stairs. It is heavy, (that's why I only gave it 4 stars) but this also means it doesn't fall over when the hose stretches to reach my topmost stair. The suction is unbeatable and I have a short haired dog and long haired cat. It is better at picking up fur than Dyson and other competitors with only 1 pass over. Amazing! The downsides:* it is heavy* the upholstery attachment isn't very effective on my canvas covered chairs with the long cat hair and I just have to use the hose on it's own* it blows hot air. It's not like my old vacuum that blows the fur around while it's working, so that's good, it just blows hot higher up. On the other hand you don't have to keep rolling over areas, so even though it's hot, it's quick.
