Its about the length of my arm, maybe a bit shorter. The stock comes off and the gun is about the size of the strongarm which is about the length of my forearm

Q: Is this really worth $41.95?

It depends on your perspective of $41.95. Personally, I think that they could sell it for less, and still make a fair profit. But I must say that this nerf gun has become one of my sons favorite, and his buddies like it a lot too.

Q: Does have the additional button that activates the motor?

Unlike most other Nerf flywheel blasters, the Stockade doesn't have an acceleration trigger; instead the flywheels are revved up by a sliding switch on the side of the blaster. This is actually a less effective design (a holdover from its predecessor the Barricade, the first N-Strike flywheel blaster), as you either have to slide the switch and wait for the wheels to rev up each time you want to shoot, or leave it switched on keep the wheels spinning the whole time (not exactly a stealthy method given how loud the motors are).
