Good for Birkenstock Soles!
I used this to repair cork sole on a very old pair of Birkenstock clogs. It worked very well, took a while to dry, (I left for 2 days) but it's a good bond and clear.

Messy, but good stuff
Be careful with this stuff, use things like cotton bud sticks to help apply the glue and figure out a way of clamping the glued pieces together. I ended up wrapping shoe lace around to hold it tight which did the job fine.

Great for goalkeeper gloves.
Bought this to repair goalkeeper gloves and work a treat. Doesn't go hard once it dries.

Simple instructions, easy to use - seems to have done the trick
Used this to glue down a small tear/flap in some leather boots and after 48-hours it seems to have dried and is sticking well.Still need to polish the shoes and see how it holds up but looks good so far. The glue claims to be flexible and waterproof so only time will tell if it holds!

Doesn't last
I had heard good and negative reports about shoe goo, so I thought lets try it. After gluing my trainer sole and leaving it for 24 hours, it seemed to work, the results where very good, however 5 days on, the glue is not holding up and the sole coming apart again. Its always good to try these things your self, when getting mixed reviews. My personal opinion is, I would not buy again, it may be a very quick fix but it doesn't last. There are better quality products out there but for the money its ok to keep in the back of your drawer as a back up, I would class this glue as a 'temporary fix'.

Incredibly Messy and Very Weak
I bought this glue to fix the toe on my tennis style trainers, where the leather and rubber have separated.I couldn't find any sensible way of using the product without making a great mess. There is no applicator provided and I ended up having to use white spirit to tidy the excess. The finish looks awful, it is shiny like varnish and, worst of all, the hold is very weak. I left it four nights (says two in the instructions) and it just pulled apart with next to no effort. The glue is comparable to silicone sealant. It sits on the surface and does not bond the materials.Save the money that you are thinking of spending on this, and put it towards a new pair of shoes instead.

Good shoe glue
Good glue but and this is important, if building up layers to repair heels the glue DOES NOT stick to itself!I repaired my heels building up the depth in stages to speed curing of the glue and the glue does not stick to itself. After days of waiting I walked out and part of the heel came off straight away, leaving some glue still attached to the rubber sole.Needs work on the chemistry to improve self sticking.
