Bulk Buy: Caron Simply Soft Yarn Solids (2-pack) (Lavender Blue)

This is some of the best yarn for crochet I've ever seen. It has a slight sheen that really show off the intricate beauty of the stitches.I used this to make an afghan for a friend's wedding and it was a great success! (If you look at the photos, the other color is the Bone of the same brand.)

The name of this yarn is "Simply Soft". There is absolutely nothing soft about this yarn. The yarn untwists and splits easily, making it frustrating to really move right along on your project. It is very thin yarn as well, so it is taking a lot more yarn to complete my project than I'd planned for. The only redeeming quality of this yarn is its beautiful vibrant color ("Sunshine"). Wish I'd kept looking and not purchased this. Poor value!

I bought this to use for a couple dolls Im making of a real person. I was trying to match their skin tone and its been really difficult. I purchased this because another reviewer posted a picture of a doll head that they had worked up and it looked like it would do the trick. I do wish that the color was a bit of a lighter peach. Its a very deeply toned light peach and I was looking for something a little softer but this is the closest I've come so far. Even if I end up finding a better option for my project I still really like the color of this yarn and would use certainly use it for something else. The one thing I find about Caron Simply Soft is that it tends to run a little thinner than its counterparts of the same weight/size. If you have a project with multiple colors its best that either all of your yarn is Caron Simply Soft branded or none of it is. You will be able to tell the difference in the way your stitches work up if you go from, for example, a Red Heart Supersaver with the same exact specs.

I rated it a 1, due to the overpricing of this product. I have found this same yarn for more than 1/2 the price. It is a great product, though

I had never used this yarn before... So, I took a leap of faith and purchased this yarn...and was not disappointed! It's color is rich with a soft but noticable sheen... In other words, it's GORGEOUS!It's also extremely soft! Normally when I find yarn that has a color that I'm nose diving into love with, it normally ends up with the consistency and overall feeling of pine straw... But, not this yarn!!!!!!It is an thinner yarn and I knit... So, I normally prefer all day long, a much bulkier yarn... But, I have no issues with double or triple looping each stitch and I basically get the exact same effect! So, if you trust a rando's opinion on Amazon, trust mine and BUY IT! Thank me later! 😉

I use Caron yarns all the time but these 2 skeins are poor quality. The yarn is damaged in many places and it's not easy to use like other Caron yarns I've used. Perhaps is just what was sold through Amazon. I've had good luck through other sources.

This is nice yarn, but nothing special for the price. If I hadn’t needed this specific color for a emergency project, I doubt I would have paid that much for 2 skeins of yarn.

I have many lovely colors of this truly soft yarn. However, the working yarn has a strong tendency to separate into individual strands which can make it tricky to complete the stitch and can affect the way it looks. Also, yarn is wound in the factory in such a way that it may cause a mess of tangles to come from the skein. Other than that, it's a delight to work with.

Yarn is fully Caron grade and reliable. Very Important effort was made to ensure same batch on both rolls, which is critical in the knitting process.Due to this quality control, i will buy again.
