A GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE!!
I gave myself a Mother's Day gift, and I love it!! The most difficult part of this experience was getting rid of my old 21" Magnavox [a CRT from the stone age, ha!!]. Because of environmental laws you cannot simply set your old set out in the trash. You have to find a junk hauler that will take it to an electronic waste station, and they charge you. Although it says it's a two person job, I did it [and I'm a rather old woman] by myself. I have a subscription to Netflix, and watch at least 2 DVDs a week, so I was specifically looking for a set with the built in DVD player. For the price, I don't think you can do any better. Sceptre even gives you a Phillips screwdriver, and 2 batteries for the remote. Everything is pretty self explanatory in the enclosed manual, and there is a lot of information on the internet. I found the remote control codes online [they gave: 10000, 10878, 11217, 11360, and 11599........the one that worked for me was 10878]. I am on cable, so the set up went pretty fast. I tested the DVD player, and with my screen set to Cinema it looks great!! I am so happy that my viewing entertainment has [finally] entered the 21st Century thank you Sceptre.......Yipee!!!!

Beautiful picture; like the convenience of the DVD player! Came very quickly; was able to buy an external antenna (we don't have cable, only broadcast stations). It is what I wanted and the price was right with a 5 yr. warranty!

Didnt even last a year
Dvd player lasted about a month (that could possibly be due to misuse by the kids) but it didnt take much. Remote went out about 3 months in. Then, the speakers went out about 10 months in. I even tried plugging an auc cable into the headphone jack in the back into a bluetooth speaker, amd was still making the crackling noise, so it wasnt just the speakers. Needless to say the tv didnt last a year, almost, but didnt happen. I got what i paid for.

Very good choice!
We gave it as a gift to my in laws and I put it together for them myself..... Picture is very good and DVD is easy to use no complaints. Very happy with it!
