Great appliance. We use it almost every day.
My husband and I really love this. I did a lot of research before I bought this one. It being renewed didn’t bother me since I’ve bought brand new products that didn’t live up to my expectations, but refurbished items have never let me down. This makes frozen convenience foods taste much better than when baked in the oven. It is much healthier and, in my opinion, tastier to air fry frozen fries, onion rings and, my favorite, sweet potatoes rather than cooking them in oil. My husband and I aren’t as young as we used to be and we both have health issues that keep us from doing things that we used to and this product has been a God send. We use it almost every day. Don’t expect it to be faster than other cooking methods. That’s not what it’s for. The purpose is to make healthier and better tasting food.

Parmesan Chicken never tasted sooo good :)
Oh, my goodness. My husband and I absolutely love this air fryer. I actually bought it to save my new German made, expensive double ovens from foods that tend to splatter and create a mess. The first recipe that I tried was Parmesan Chicken and it was DELICIOUS. Crusty on the outside - moist and flavorful on the inside. I cut boned and skinned chicken breasts in half in order to have 2 pieces which were not so thick. Mix 1/2 C bread crumbs with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated) with 1/2 rounded teaspoon of salt. Set aside. In another dish break one egg, add 1/4 cup water and beat till mixed. Dip breast into egg mixture then breaded mixture. Do this twice then sprinkle with Lemon Pepper. Place into air fryer x 12 minutes, turn and cook for another 12 minutes or until done.ENJOY, YUM, YUM.

Great concept poor execution
A couple of things: the basket is a pain the ass to clean. So many things get stuck and I have to use an old toothbrush to get them. They instructions say not to use parchment paper, but have no suggestions otherwise except buy more accessories. And the other thing is the temperature gauge. The temp number never matches a recipe. Period. You can set at 360 but not 350, 390 no 400, etc but there's no rhyme or reason for the distribution. Even 30's isn't consistent. The preheating is fast, but god forbid if you accidentally push a timer button, you're stuck and can't start over.I would buy different brand next time.It was brand new in the box and I'm glad I ordered the "refurbished" model for my first air fryer experience.

Has replaced most of my other cooking appliances
I am a bachelor, living alone, cooking for one. I love fried foods, but avoid them because of all the fat. Well, the Phillips Air Fryer is a gift from heaven. I cook chicken, hamburgers, fish, scallops, baked potatoes, french fries, and they all come out great. Hot dogs come out like they were fried in oil, but there is no oil involved. And to wash the working parts, just put them in the dishwasher. Burgers come out juicy and tasty. And its all quite fast, with little or no pre-use warm up period. The refurbished product comes in plainer packaging, but once its out of the package, is indistinguishable from a new product. Buy the accessory grill. The basic unit comes with a basket. This has become my primary cooking appliance, along with a microwave for heating liquid based foods.

Great value!
I got the refurbished one and it's like newI really like it and it's easy to clean

A sticky, cleaning nightmare.
Impossible to clean. Utterly terrible design. The unit has a metal mesh in the tray that get completely gunked up with food. And, the mesh is not separable from the tray, which means you cannot get into the edges. You also probably can’t use abrasive pads to clean because they’ll rough up the metal and make future sticking even worse. The very first time I used this, food stuck horribly to the mesh and I destroyed most of it removing. Will only get worse with time. You’ll waste gallons of hot water cleaning this, and it won’t even get clean.Utter desire failure, avoid at all costs.

Great tasting results
Didn't know what to expect, but some neighbors have raved about the taste of foods using this product. Only two of us, but my daughter (family of 5) recommended to go for the larger size so the food can cook more evenly. She was right. Cooking times have to be experimented with - it takes less than the cookbooks say, but I'm compiling my own times as I go. The refurbished model I bought seems fine.

Smoking Hot
Packaging: It did not come in official packaging but looks like new without any usage marks on it. Also, no accessories. It would have been awesome if it came with grill pan or rack.Usage: It works great and food is quite tasty. Only issue is when I put little bit more oil or butter on my salmon, then lot of smoke starts coming out of it. So much smoke that I have open all the windows and doors to make sure not to trigger the fire alarm.Cleaning: No issues here. Just scrap off the excess or stuck food and then put it on top shelf of dish washer.
