Very nice shampoo. Cleans well but not too harshly.

Honestly, I thought I bought a dry shampoo spray but it ended up being shampoo. The shampoo is really nice though. I was having troubles with dandruff and my dandruff is mostly gone and my hair texture improved.

I have ordered this shampoo for years and loved it. I have extreme soap allergies and this was one of the few shampoos I could use with good results and not end up itching. HOWEVER, I have noticed over time a change in the consistency of the shampoo and the effect on my hair. With my last purchase, my hair feels dry and awful, and the shampoo seems watered down. I bought this shampoo on the actual product website just to see and sure enough, major difference. The bottle even seems different. Do yourself a favor and try this shampoo, but buy it on the website direct from the company

Went from having to wash my hair daily (or it looked greasy by midday the following day), and condition every time (or it literally ended up with knots on the individual hair level), to now able to wash my hair once or twice a week & mostly quit using conditioner. Used to go through a bottle of conditioner almost weekly since I have thick & long hair just to be able to brush without damage, so this is a real game changer for me.For me now that I only shampoo 1-2 times a week which allows some natural oil, absolutely don't need conditioner as it's gentle and doesn't strip oil completely - just brings it back to a nice bouncy shine. First 2 days after washing is dream hair, and it' perfectly acceptable for about a week with the occasional updo. Has no real scent, doesn't lather much, but just use a usual amount so you can feel it throughout your hair...Really happy with this product, it's all I use now (i mean, I no longer use conditioner, leave in conditioner, deep anything treatment, etc & so on. In fact I very rarely use any styling product either because now I always have that "2nd day" hair which holds well and no more flyaways either. I literally just use this shampoo a couple times a week so I'm still on the same bottle 2 months later :)I did start with 3 gnarly weeks of no shampoo / water only when I switched away from regular shampoo/conditioner which I do think was key to getting my hair/scalp to just calm down & do its thing as nature intended:)

For anyone who complains that this soap leaves your hair dry: If you're used to using regular shampoos that are loaded with chemicals or use shampoos that are clarifying, your hair is most likely already stripped of it's natural oils which would make your hair feel dry after using this shampoo. Soap nuts will clean your hair without stripping the natural oils that are soaked in. I have fine hair and have gone the route of not using regular shampoos anymore. I initially had dry hair after using this. It took a long time of letting my natural oils build up in my hair. Using a natural boar bristle brush helps to spread your natural oils down the length of your hair. If you still feel the need to use some type of conditioner but want something more natural, I suggest using Alaffia conditioner for normal to very dry hair along with this shampoo.
