ALPINE RF-11 is a potassium acetate based runway deicer that meets all FAA requirements of the SAE AMS 1435 B specification for runway de-icing fluids. RF-11 can be used on runways, driveways and sidewalks before a storm to keep ice from bonding to concrete and after a storm to melt ice. It has a freeze point of -76F and offers improved corrosion inhibition (not for use on galvanized materials), improved wetting and spreading and is environmentally friendly. Alpine RF-11 is a ready-to-use liquid form designed for easy application by spray. Anti-icing: Pre-treatment prior to the start of any icing event is the most efficient use of Alpine RF-11. The rate of application is approximately 0.5 gallons per 1000 ft2. De-icing: Alpine RF-11 can be used as an effective deicer when allowed to penetrate the pavement surface to break the bond of ice and snow. The amount of fluid required depends on outside temperatures as well as the thickness of the ice film . A recommended application rate of 1.0 gallon per 1000 ft2 for thin ice and 3.0 gallons per 1000 ft2 for ice up to an inch thick. RF-11 is formulated with pure raw materials. Our reputation is built by providing premium chemicals, high tech distribution, and superior customer and technical support for our customers.
