Very bright!
I bought the smallest one. Let me say, this light is awesome! It’s very bright and really does bring out the colors in the fish and plants. I plan on buying other sizes. You can get the dinner for like $20. For the price and it being a twinstar I’m very happy.

bright enough for low tech setup
slow growers have benefited from a liquid co2 booster, and anti-algae supplement. lots of plants went into the 6 gallon cube. a little melt here and there, some algae that the (4) shrimp took care of but with higher quality soil everything has come around nicely.

Not great!
Pros: Looks great. Very bright.Cons: No on/off switch. Runs very hot. Mounting legs are very loose.Light looks great and is definitely bright enough to grow plants. But it is a definite "do not buy". The housing get's extremely hot. Many lights are available that run much cooler. This light will literally burn you. It also has no on/off switch so you will have to run either a timer, an external switch, or unplug it every night. The mounting legs are also very loose in the housing and unless you modify the light in some way it could potentially fall off of or into the aquarium with the slightest touch. I will not be using this light or any other Twinstar product as I feel like they have completely disregarded the safety of their customers.

Nice Light but it’s wonky.
The light looks really nice but unfortunately the electrical system needs improvement because mine goes in and out every time I I move the electrical wire. It’s also a very bright light and too low to the water. You will need some kind of power control to turn it on and off or else you will get a lot of algae. If light is not monitored.

Disaster algae growth
I’ve spent so much time and money last year trying to solve the terrible algae growth problem in my fish tank and replacing dead fish. It turns out that these lights are too strong and it encouraged super algae bloom every two months. I’ve never had such problem with my previous Eheim light in the past 10 years.

Doesn't Last
The light was great at first for my lowtech 6 gallon cube, but after 8 months, it's started flickering and doesn't reach full brightness.

Meh..
This light does not come with neither a dimmer or a switch to turn on and off; even budget lights offer that option. The light itself is wonderful; but the mounts need to be glued in place or bent outward and forced back in like a spring to prevent slipping.. might as well bought a hygger..
