Rich and quickly evaporating yet effective serum. This is a pricier product line most ideal for serious skincare enthusiasts and professionals providing regular facial service. I've used quite a few of their professional products over the past year on both myself and on clients, and it's impressive how well they work there's no doubt.Texture is lightweight and absorbs quite readily. No fragrance that I could note, not even the hint of citrus often present in products with Vitamin C.Product does leave a glossy veil on the face but that's fine as it appears best applied at night or as a final serum in a facial routine. Could likely be used as a daytime product with less glossing if used with a very light application and alongside few products, but vitamin C does increase sun sensitivity. It also does not have UV protection so I think it's better as an evening or treatment product rather than day use. I found that while this serum did not interact poorly with any other products with which it was used, it ultimately works at its absolute peak when used alongside some of its brand's other complementary items, particularly including any of the REFINE RX or LIFTING RX line.As for irritants or issues resulting from various ingredients, it is a low-risk for irritants for both individual use and client use as I've used it on a wide variety of ages and skin types with zero irritation caused on anyone. The lack of fragrance also helps appeal to clients who feel sensitive about heavy scents or the use of any fragrance at all. No interactions regarding other products were noted, however it's important to avoid using Vitamin C products alongside: chemical exfoliants like AHA, BHA, lactic acid, etc as the pH will offset and results will be seriously diminished; niacinamide as it may encourage breakouts; or retinol as together these are too much harsh and can result in temporary ruddiness, rashes, or skin flares.Overall I really like this product as well as many others from this brand. It's a trustworthy, well formulated product line and I think that, while the price may be off-putting, you can purchase with confidence knowing that if you do use this product as part of a comprehensive skincare program, you will experience visible effects when applied consistently and correctly. I highly recommend this serum to all.

I've used this every morning for the last couple of weeks and am extremely pleased with the use, quality, and performance of this "vitamin C" brightening serum from Babor. The main vitamin C in this is 3-o ethyl ascorbic acid, which is an l-ascorbic acid derivative. It is highly stable and soluble in both water and oil. I do not know the concentration in this particular serum though.I have Rosacea prone combo to dry congestion-prone skin, and this has worked extremely well for my needs. No irritation. No weird smell. Doesn't feel sticky, weird, tacky, or greasy. Doesn't cause pilling when I try to layer on other skincare. Easy to incorporate in place of my usual AM vitamin C product.I pair a couple of pumps of this gel serum with my facial oil (which has vitamin E and another serum I use with resveratrol and ferulic acid). All of these work well together. Just be sure you apply a good slather of SPF after as UV will otherwise render the antioxidant benefits inert.No irritation, breakouts, flares, redness, flaking, or pilling. I'm not greasy or shiny; keeps me balanced. I don't wear a lot of makeup anyway, but as a 40+ fair-skinned woman who used to have super oily skin and cystic acne growing up, this has made my face look luminous and even. My barely-there makeup look is unnecessary. I can leave the house most days and I can't tell the difference whether I donned my tinted SPF or my regular one. The tinted one usually blurred the subtle discoloration or imperfections. I think the aforementioned regime of this Babor serum + my usual antioxidants and facial oil has certainly improved my complexion.Anyway, the Babor Brightening Intense Daily Brightening Serum comes in a sleek metallic-looking cylindrical pump. Picks up every smudge and fingerprint, but it is still functional, suitable, and vanity pretty. It is an ~$80 1.69oz pump of product, but the price point is in kind with the brand.Good formulation with this one with packaging designed to prolong the stability of the serum inside. Two pumps in your AM routine are more than enough to cover your face and neck. I don't recommend using it alongside any BHAs as they may alter the pH of one another. I recommend reviewing the actives in your routine and adjusting as needed. You can always use your salicylic acid washes or spot treatments in the PM.German made. Fragrance-free.

Made in Germany. Comes in a sleek shiny metal look 'tube' with a pump action dispenser. No fragrance - completely fragrance free, not sort of fragrance free.This Doctor Babor daily bright serum is not thick; it has a slightly thinner consistency, but not runny.My skin drank up this serum immediately--there was no residue on my skin at all. Left my skin super soft, though most serums do have that softening quality (this one a bit more than some). There was a slight tingling sensation; I find this with all of the DB skincare products I have tried. This skin reaction to my slight-rosacea-prone skin does make me feel it's doing something, I suppose. The slight irritation is short-lived and my skin calms down and feels quite nice. But if you have super sensitive skin, you may want to rethink some of Babor's products as they are stronger than some.At $79, it is a little pricey but this is for over an ounce and a half, and in the ever-more-expensive skincare industry, that's not out of line for premium skincare.Any skincare is going to take months to see results so it's difficult to comment on that, but I do like how this makes my skin feel.I am becoming a new fan of Babor's skincare line.

3.5.22~ This stuff has transformed my skin.Been just over 3 weeks & that one stubborn sunspot is fading.In full disclosure, been focused on it so it is lighter than years ago.What I really need to do is pull out my GloPro that is collecting dust.But until then Dr Barbor comes through again on over 50 damaged skin.Even upon 1st use, your skin feels like a magic eraser.Pores are tighter, texture is smoother, skin has youthful glow.I would caution this is only for over 40 or really damaged skin.The Vit C is potent. Says "Intense" in the name. Can feel a light, short tingle.This is not for anti-aging. It's for aged.Used 'Brightening Intense Serum' after a splash on Glycolic toner.It was all I needed for day use in the tropics.Didn't cause me to sweat & wore well under make up with a finishing spray.If you never tried Dr Barbor, it's up there with Dermalogica.Cruelty Free skin care that works to repair without a visit to an Aesthetician.Hope that helps & Stay Beautiful.
