Will this fit 1996 F350 xlt power stroke diesel 4 door 172"wheel base long bed?

Don`t know. I know it fits a 1957 Chevy Belair after the spare tire well is removed.

Why is the tank black? is that a paint, or primer, what is the purpose of color?

Well I ordered the tank cause it looked like they painted it black. Mine was silver it looks like they painted it but I'm going to paint it again anyways.
