Brother LC71 Standard Yield Ink Cartridge Set

The works great, though expensive.

I had been using aftermarket ink cartridges in my Brother printer, and I was experiencing more and more problems with printing. Frequent cleaning cycles helped, but cleaning cycles waste ink and they waste my time. So I purchased some (expensive) genuine Brother cartridges, stuck them into the machine, and it is working perfectly now. So, apparently, the source of ink cartridges does make a difference. Unfortunately, the Brother cartridges are so expensive that I need to find a different solution for my printing requirements.

I only buy the real thing now, the actual ink carts that are made for my printer. I once bought the discount ones that were SUPPOSED to fit my printer, but they did not work well at all. I don't have the time or patience to fool with carts made in China that are "universal" or supposedly will work and you never know when you put one in if it will ACTUALLY work. These work every time and the price is cheaper than in the stores. Trust me, don't mess with the others! If you've had luck with the others, then good, you got lucky, but I'll stick with the real deal.

Ran out of ink and needed to print just a few pages, so went to amazon for next day shipping to replace ink on an MFC-J825DW... Ink delivered fast, but then the trouble began. First it wouldn't read the cartridges, then it said they were half empty after one test print, then literally within the first 10 minutes of taking them out of the bag the blue (cyan) and yellow said they were empty and the printer could not print. Just needed to print a black and white sheet. But, because of the greed of Brother, you get sent junk ink and you cant print a black photo if yellow or any other color is empty. Called brother, long story short after doing nearly an hour of useless test (turn printer off, unplug, pull cartridge repeat) they said its the printer issue and not the ink. Really? The all the other ink works fine, it literally was just printing... Well they have no warranty on their ink, couldn't help at all and just started giving me the run around. Waste of and hour of my time and 45 dollars. Wanted me to call who I bought it from and get a refund as if its their fault? Brother you make and sell your product, its junk, you need to be the one to issue a refund! Why would I waste Amazon's time and cost amazon money because you make junk???Long story short, don't spend 45 dollars to replace ink on a brother printer that cost 50 bucks.Just buy a new printer (NOT BROTHER!) and move on with your day in peace.Oh amazon shipped fast and on time, Brother is problem.

I've been buying these cartridge sets from Amazon for years, never had a problem.
