Q: Will this convert a normal fm radio to dab? i do not have dab but do have a hifi combination player. any suggestions? i do have a usb port.

No, this will not convert an FM radio receiver to a DAB radio receiver. This is only the aerial for a radio, whether that is FM, DAB or both. If your hi-fi has an aux input you may be able to buy a small DAB radio and connect its audio out port to the aux input. If you just have a USB port, I doubt that would be any help in his situation, sorry; in my experience these USB ports on hi-fi combos will allow you to play digital audio files (e.g. mp3) through your hi-fi. Best to check your hi-fi instructions manual, though.

Hi Soggy, an easy answer: Look on the rear of your bedside DAB radio -- there will be (should be... ) a fitting or set of fittings for the arial. This Bingfu antenna has a variety of fittings / adapters. One of these will undoubtedly fit onto your specific radio's aerial fitting. Once identified which fitting to use, simply plug the aerial into your radio using the adapter that works. Really easy.

Q: Does this aerial work if signal has to come through a brick wall?

It is no different to any other antenna. Brick walls will always reduce signal, though if the room has an outside window that will allow some further signal passage. This is not a miracle worker just a compact little antenna that works better than the bit of wire you often get with FM/DAB receivers. Really the only way to see if it improves your reception is to try it. A lot will depend onthe quality of your existing antenna, if that is poor this may help.
