Sky Doll: Decade

Worth Every Penny
The book came in good condition (the corners were smooshed). Funny/thought provoking story, amazing glossy full color pages, lovely art. I even bought the next book Sundra, and I'm in the middle of reading this one as well.

This is an amazing book
This books has so many great religious overtones in it, its almost unbelievable that it was as relatable and funny as it was. If you love books that are not afraid to say what everyone else is thinking outloud this is an amazing book for you. The artwork is just stunning as well.

Beautiful
I at first thought this was going to be a new issue or volume of the series Sky Doll, since it was listed in the book category but there wasn't a lot information about it. It is actually a poster that has been signed and numbered. I'm not too disappointed. The artwork is beautiful.

won't put you to sleep but not going to be an amazing tale.
As with Sky Doll: Sudra it's just gorgeous to look at. Story is OK; won't put you to sleep but not going to be an amazing tale.

Couldn't get my hands on an Italian version
Ma guarda te se devo andare a leggere in inglese...I was looking for this volume in Italian but it's been out of print for ages and I couldn't get it second-hand. Then I found an English used edition and I bought it.First things first: this book needed an editor. Badly. There are tons of typos and it's such a shame for such a beautiful hardcover volume.I completely agree with Bucletina: the quality of the art deserves at least ★★★★★. But the story wasn't that interesting and so, in the end, this is a ★★★ book.I mean, the art and the colors are fantastic. I like the contrast between the pink tones and the grey tones of the society in the background. I like the strokes and the shapes, which are mostly round. The story, however, is a complete different thing. There's religion involved. Tons of religion. Words are destroyed in the name of religion. There is a papessa and a dead sort of goddess that people keep worshipping, much to the papessa's dismay. Still there are only three volumes and the story is left there with no real ending and no real explanations. There should be a fourth volume coming out in French on the 15th of June 2016.I really like Noa as the main character. Still we know too little about her and I feel there are too many details missing for me to be able to get a complete feeling of her. Too bad. Roy is good, too.The gallery at the end of the volume didn't impress me too much and I didn't know most of the artists who were inspired by Sky•Doll. Volume #0 kind of hints at the origin of Noa, while Heaven Dolls... Well, it seems that the authors are making fun of the readers presenting a whole gallery of dolls full of flaws. Not sure I want such dolls aroung my place.Well, I may try to read volume #4 in French soon.
