I would say yes cause I believe that’s what the electrical connection is for but not positive. Mine was cracked and leaked so that’s why I needed to replace it.

if it's the factory unit it depends on your mileage and year uf you are under 3 yrs. or 36 k miles call the dealer if it an aftermarket unit call the manufacturer or the place you got it from

I ordered one and it failed in just under 2 years. I'm going to buy an aluminum one from RockAuto with a limited lifetime warranty this time.
