Q: I am installing 3/8" OD copper flexible tube, does it require a ferrule, or I need a flaring tool?

You will need a flaring tool. The end of the copper tubing needs to be flared out to create a leak free sealing. No ferrule will work however you can use a copper gasket but it is not needed.
