Worked well for both of my huskies that have hip problems. They were walking much better within a couple weeks.

This is a white powder that comes in a plastic lined foil packet. I recommend cutting the top off instead of tearing it, as the former will leave you with a neater, easier to re-open package. It contains a little scoop. The dosage is such that this package will last quite a while.I tasted it, and it has no taste, but is a bit gritty, reminding me of calcium. (Strangely, one of my cats jumped down from her perch to have a couple of licks after I opened it. I tried to take a pic, but I was too slow. I guess there was something that attracted her.) Another of my cats does not run around or climb as much as my other two, so it is for her that I got this. It will be awhile before I can see results. I will report back, after some time.I myself used glucosamine and chondroitin to heal my knees, years ago. When I was young, after coming out of a mountain hot spring, my legs gave out when I began walking on the trail with my 36 lb toddler in a baby pack on my back. (I should have waited before hiking, but the others were ready.) I managed to stay upright when I fell (so my kid would not be thrown forward out of the pack), causing the brunt of force to be taken by my knees. I did not have xrays and did not want to pursue medical or surgery route. For years, I had to "favor" my knees. I love to dance, bike ride and walk, and everytime my knees seemed better, my activities would inflame my knees again. When I finally learned about g and c, I started taking it and continued for a few years, seeing improvement all along they way, until I finally have no more pain in my knees, no matter what I do. And the clicking sounds that they used to make are all gone, too. I am certain g and c is what healed the cartilidge in my knees! This item arrived on time as expected and no damage occurred to the item. I'm hoping this works but we will only know long term. I'm giving it 5 stars because of the big plus of being made in the USA. I won't lie...my dogs absolutely adored these sweet potato treats I got them. They had been made in China and low and behold, some shady practices were discovered by the makers and the product is not unavailable. It's scary. My dogs are my kids and I want them to have the best. I want to know that their treats, their food, everything that goes into their bodies is made in the best facilities and with the strictest standards that they can have. I get that with this product. I have six little shih tzus and 4 are 8 years old one is 9 and the mama is 12. They are at the age where they are moving slowly and I'm giving them all the help I can. I have used hip and joint supplements in the past and it seams to help so I'll use this and if I can't see any improvements I will update.
