Worked like a charm
The Potty Scotty was exactly what I was hoping for. I wasn't amazed by the price, but after reading reviews of other dolls I felt like if I wanted quality I had to pay full price. It does take a while to fill up the doll so make sure that you read the instructions and be patient. I filled up the doll the night before our potty training day so that I wouldn't have to fuss with it the day of. I did actually let my son feed Scotty, but we filled him up to much and Scotty had an overflow accident. What a great opportunity for practicing going potty after an accident. :0)

Not successful for us
I was excited about this product, having a toilet-resistant three-year-old. I was also excited to have an anatomically correct male doll. I think, however, because he is three (on the older side of potty training age) and a somewhat intelligent child, he immediately figured out how to make the doll go potty (literally within 5 seconds), and just became fascinated by the cause and effect of squeezing the dolls leg. He could not have cared less that we praised the doll for going potty. He just wanted to make it go potty again.Aside from that, the doll does leak, as mentioned by previous reviewers. I think this could be a useful tool for a younger toddler (18-24 month old) who is ready for potty training, but if your child is older and therefore more aware of making things function on their own (and also a headstrong child), it is not so great.

Potty trained in one day- leaks a bit.
Used this anatomically correct doll with the book "Toilet Training in Less than a Day"- with twin boys aged 2 years and 7 months. Scotty leaks water a bit after you "feed him". It doesn't stay in until you push to release at the right moment. BUT it works well enough for potty training. We gave up diapers cold turkey and never went back. No pull ups. Very few accidents -ever-. So, he leaks a bit, but, Potty Scotty rocks.

Fun doll for a potty training boy!
I never write reviews, but I almost didn't order this product because of all the bad ones so I decided to quickly write one! Maybe I should do it more, since I always read them!Anyhow, this doll is great for my little one (15 months). I love that Scotty is anatomically correct! As the other reviewers have said, he does leak a bit when you do not feed him correctly (slowly and at the right angle, like the directions say). However, when he has water in him he "pees" just fine, with just a gently squeeze of his thigh. My recommendation is that you don't allow your child to actually "feed" Scotty (they could just pretend with empty bottles) but instead fill Scotty up when the child is not around so when you are ready to "pee" him he is good to go! If you do this it will save you a lot of trouble with the leaking and with having to feed him slowly, and really a child of potty-training age is probably not going to figure out what's going on anyways!I say if you are looking for an anatomically correct doll to assist your child with potty training this doll is awesome! I gave it 4 stars because yes, there is a small amount of leaking, but if you feed him slowly and correctly it is very minimal and is worth it to have a doll that pees in my opinion!

Leaky leaky leaky
As I read in the reviews but bough anyway because I really wanted my son to have an anatomically correct doll for potty training - this guy leaked alllll over the place. Out the legs, the arms, etc. I read the directions carefully and still had major issues with him. I did however get great customer service in returning him.

Fantastic product!! It really does work!
We just used this method to teach our son (2yrs, 8 mos) to use the potty. We love this product/method and highly recommend it! The book gave us some very helpful information about how to tell when your child is ready with social, emotional, physical and cognitive indicators. The author also explains the child development principles for why this method works. The 1 Day Method builds on the concepts that we learn best by example, that we learn when we "teach" others and that potty training principles naturally work with rewards and consequences. With this method, our son learned how to use the potty in one weekend. He feels very proud of himself and we are ecstatic, too! This is a fantastic product/method....truly a must-have for every parent!

Don't waste your money
The whole point of this doll is to have your child teach it how to go potty... take it to the potty, take off his pants, put him on the potty, etc. Well, if you do not hold this doll upright it leaks so... when your child is handling the doll... it leaks. Also my son figured out in two seconds that you squeeze the thigh to make it pee... as you can imagine water was squirted everywhere... dolly couldn't keep his pants dry. Way overpriced for what it is. Baby Alive costs just as much and she talks!

Bought potty Scotty awhile ago waiting for when I saw ...
Bought potty Scotty awhile ago waiting for when I saw signs of being ready for potty training. Well Scotty doesn't hold his potty. As soon as you give him water to drink pee comes out. Well my little one is feeding him on the potty let's hope it helps.
