A Great Bag for Three to Six Days on the Road or Trail
All the new bikes are Mono-shock and there is nothing to keep fabric saddle bags out of the rear wheel without fabricating something out of metal.I was renting a Honda CB300F for a ride from Chiang Mai to Kanchanaburi for a six day trip and needed a way to carry my gear.I had seen something like this on a couple adventure bikes a few months ago and decided that maybe that would be the way to go.I vacillated between the bigger one and this one, but decided I needed to learn to pack lighter than I normally do and chose the smaller one.I had 2 pairs of blue jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, 6 T-shirts, a weeks worth of underwear, and my fairly large shower kit in it. If you really wanted to stuff it a bit more could have been done.I called and the salesman said that the big one is a bit too big unless you are taking the kitchen sink and that the smaller bag would hold more than it looked like in the photos. You could easily strap a Duffel Bag or Dry Bag to it with the attached straps for more room. The bike I rented came with a rear box where I kept my shoes, sandals, and rain gear, so I didn't need it.There were so many straps, I could not figure out what they were all for, but I am sure if I used it enough times they would come in handy. The outside pockets were handy to carry my visor cleaner, some rags, and my trusty bottle of Tapatio Hot Sauce (just in case the food needed some help). The bag attached easily with lots of options for different bikes and didn't slip around one bit.Note that this bag goes on the passenger seat, so you can not haul a passenger with it attached. It basically form fits to the bottom of your legs just like a passenger's legs would. This makes it a bit odd shaped when laying flat on the bed and packing it, but nothing major. One advantage to this is, unlike Panniers that stick out on both sides, this bag is the same size as your legs and does not increase the width of the bike.Squeezing between the cars at stoplights in Thailand is the same as without the bag.Overall I find this bag to be very functional.I can toss it on a street bike and go touring for a week.I can toss it on a Dual Sport and go dirt roading for a week.I could toss it on top of the Fabric Saddlebags on my 125cc Honda Wave and have additional room to go shopping.Overall I liked the bag, found nothing objectionable, and would buy it again.

Great bag but unreliable fastening hardware.
Mounted on a KTM 450EXC and rode the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route.I had this thing stuffed with camping gear to include tent, sleeping bag, stove, cookset, toolkit, and other items. It was hardly noticeable on the bike while riding.Everything was great until I had a very slow speed getoff (about 2 or 3 mph. I stalled and tipped over) which snapped one of plastic clips that hold it to the rear fender. I didn't realize it and after a quick check, started off again. I realized that something was wrong when I started sliding off the bike and bouncing around. It had also ripped about 10" of securing strap from the bag.Fortunately, I was able to replace the clip with a metal clip from my front fender tube bag. Using parachute cord and electrical tape I was able to cobble it together again and complete my ride.I love the design of this bag and it actually worked out very well. I'm buying another for my son, but I'll replace those plastic clips with metal.
