Home Emergency Pocket Guide 3rd Edition

Cons: Defiantly “Pocket-size” and printed in 8 pt. font, which makes it very hard to read for a guy that wears glasses for up-close reading. I can’t imagine how hard this would be to try and read in a dark situation with only a flashlight to view it by. Lists tons of information on Personal Emergency Information... like your doctors telephone No., list of family members to contact, pets, Family Medical History, Planning for an emergency, etc... I was looking for a First-Aid manual, to put in my first-aid kit; this is more like a FEMA guide-manual for preparation of the BIG event. I still give it a 5-Star rating for what this pocket-size guide is intended for, not what I had thought it was.Pros: Tons of information I hadn’t even thought about which is great.

Just what I was looking for - a concise 'do this' book for basic home emergencies. I've been putting together a home emergency kit and was wanting to have a 'do this guide' to go with it. You know the situation... an emergency happens and your mind goes blank! Well... hopefully this guide will come in handy - though I would rather not need it. In general, the topics in the Pocket Guide are typical to what happens in Home Emergencies. The guide is laid out well with easy to find tabs with instructions. I've read it front to back and there is a lot of good information in there for many of the most common home emergencies. CPR for infants to adults is a great reminder and shows that it has the latest methods for dealing with situations.

Building a Bug Out Bag / Earthquake kit for a friend. I have one of these in mine so I purchased this for them. Good basic information.
