I Wish I had Bought Two From Amazon!
This is the best alarm I've ever had! My first deaf alarm had super bright lights flashing (so bright it would invade my dreams and my dream self would wonder where the light was coming from until I realize it's my alarm clock and wake up) and when it died I wanted to buy another clock with flashing lights just like it, but it was no longer available.I thought the shaker (which I keep under my pillow) that came with this clock would be secondary, but it turned out to be primary. I set it to flash the lights and shake me awake and it's the shaker that wakes me before I even notice the lights are flashing. I now use the lights only to find the button to turn off the shaker. I don't use the sound part of the alarm at all because I wouldn't be able to hear it regardless of how loud it is. I love how light and portable this alarm clock is. I took it with when I went out of town last spring and it worked like a charm. Access 4 Alarm Clock I wish I had bought two of them so I'd have a back up! It saddens me this is no longer available at Amazon because I'm so dependent on it and don't know what I'll do when it dies and I don't have a replacement. Yes, this clock was expensive, but it's been worth every penny since I've used it.

Terrible Quality. Nice When It Works
This alarm clock is built with all the refinery of a $6 Wal-Mart model. That would be fine, if it would at least work. I sent this item in for repair/replacement after the unit would inexplicably fail in the middle of the night (including battery backup). I would repeatedly wake up to a flashing 12:00 while none of the other clocks in the house were affected (in other words, no power outage). The same unit was then sent back to me (at my expense) with an explanation that it was my fault that the unit wasn't operating properly. I will spare you that part of the story, but suffice to say I was angry. Bonus: It was $6 for me to ship it to them, but $10 for them to ship it back. Anyway, the unit kept failing. I called and again was told to send it in, at my expense, at which point it would be sent back at my expense. At this point we're looking at $32 in shipping fees to fix a clock that should have worked in the first place. If you depend on an very loud alarm clock to get to work on time, DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. It is expensive but unbelievably cheap. You're paying for the fact that it's designed for the hard of hearing or deaf. In other words, you're being ripped off by a company who knows that they have a captive market. Keep shopping for something else. You will thank me.
