PaperPro ACI1118 - Prodigy Spring Powered Stapler

Q: How do you load the staples and how do you keep the staple shoot on the stapler? Mine kept sliding down when I was using it.

I had the same issue. When I open the stapler to use it on a bulletin board, the part that slides out so you can load staples slides out on its own. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
