Does the job
I got these to help with a fungus gnat problem that developed around my houseplants this winter. They work as intended. Only one star taken away because I find it very difficult to remove the backing from them. They are VERY sticky and have caught many gnats and a few other bugs as well. Other than that they work well and the various sticks and ties that come with them are useful. The tiny shovel is adorable and I use it to spread some diatomaceous earth in my pots. I did not find I needed it for putting the stick into the soil but it is a lovely touch that they include it just in case.Everything came nicely packaged with instructions for use.

Not A Solution
This is not a solution to get rid of the gnat around plants in the long run but does capture the ones already there. I tried this as an alternative to using chemicals around my plants and we happy to see how many gnats these caught in the first few days. I was replacing them every day because of how many gnats were caught. However, they number of gnats didn't decrease because while it was capturing them, it was not killing the root of the problem. They were still reproducing, and the eggs/larva were unaffected by the sticky traps. In other words, I would use these in conjunction with something else that would help kill off the larva/eggs effectively.

This Works!
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical but thought I’d give this a try before I started dumping pest killing chemicals onto my beloved Christmas cactus. Within a couple of hours, those pesky, little, soil gnats started migrating to the card and, by the next day, there were zero left flying around. So happy to have found this inexpensive, non-toxic solution.

Good quality, but larger than I thought
These are good quality and do catch the little gnats, but were larger than I thought. I bought to put into a small pot at work and it takes up quite a bit of room on the one side of the pot. The sticky part is 2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. New leaves stick to it. The part that sticks into the dirt is 2 inches wide and 2 and half inches tall, not good for small pots. I am using these in all my large pots at home.

Quick Fix
These are great for a quick, short term fix, but don’t solve the issue at its root. I used them for gnats that had nested in my monstera, and they worked great at getting the ones that were already hatched and in the house, but you’ll want to pair these with a pesticide that’ll kill the eggs to completely get rid of the problem. Also be careful as they are very sticky!

Really catches the Fruit flies.
These sticky traps worked great on the flies but everything else sticks to them as well. We have compost of crushed leaves and grasses and other organic stuff and I had to be very careful putting these into the compost because EVERYTHING sticks to it! but they do work well.

Works great
As soon as the package arrived I installed 3 stakes into my large potted lemon tree as instructed and over night I already see gnats stuck on the stakes. I am very happy with the results so far.

Definitely helpful
These sticky pads definitely catch a lot of tiny flies that comes from the potting soil. They only work next to the plants. I have put some in other places the flies fly off to, but have caught none.I first started using them when I had trouble getting seedling to grow. They kept dying. Little flies were everywhere and I saw wiggling in the dirt. The sticky pads saved the next set of seedlings. You just can't get good potting soil anymore. I DEFINITELY recommend.
