Dandelion - Diamond Pattern - Naturally-Dyed Cotton Turkish Towel Peshtemal - 71x39 Inches - Burgundy

I've bought a few of these towels; several different "models", styles, brands etc. My favorites have been the Bersuse and the Dandelion brands. I like the thicker ones with a more substantial weave (not to be mistaken; they are still thin on the standard of traditional towels). The thin ones to me, compare to drying off with a bed sheet or table cloth. They were a disappointment after using the thicker (in my opinion, better quality) towels. Both brands have both styles (thick & thin). In regards to this towel or this style (thicker more substantial weave) They are great! the absorbency is off the wall! Just do not use fabric softener, I thought it would be heaven to an already great towel.....NOPE. In my experience the fabric softener made it work like a squeegee, not so appealing for use on the body. I rewashed them all with only detergent and all was well again. I had some excess lint in the dryer trap only on the initial wash, after that nothing substantial or out of the norm. I have to admit, I did not follow any laundering instructions. I washed them as I normally would on a warm wash cycle and cold rinse cycle, I also put them in the dryer on the regular heat level. I can't really explain why but they did not seem to shrink at all. Being that they are cotton, I would have expected it. I also have not got a measuring tape out to verify. Though, if there was shrinkage it's minor enough to not notice in everyday use. The quality seems to be great, but I do not feel like they dry (after use) as quickly as some other reviewers say. I do think though, that because they are so big, the whole towel does not get wet; actually after using, most of the towel is still dry. My husband is a very traditional (bullheaded), not into new things, "WTH is this?! This isn't a towel" kinda guy, and to my surprise, he not only gave it try, but loved them. We are considering replacing all our body towels with these. They just feel good.....

I love this. I have used it as a shawl, a thick scarf, a blanket on the plane and at the park. It stays in my car from the first chilly morning until the weather gets too warm to need an extra layer on occasion. Have even used it as a towel, haha, and it worked well for that purpose, too. It is soft, and I have gotten a lot of compliments when using it as a shawl/scarf. I love traveling with it. It fits in my over-sized purse when I'm not using it, is great as a lightweight but warm extra layer if I get cold on the plane or in a restaurant. Have used it to cover up the kiddo for impromptu naps when we're out and about.

I bought this for decoration and it is so cute! Little did I know I would get so much use out of it! I recently took it to the US Virgin Islands in case I got cold on the plane (plus it looks tropical). Well I did get cold - it's so light and comfy, it was perfect and fit in my carry on easily! I also used it once at the beach (didn't get it soaking wet though, so I can't say how good of a towel it could be). I used it at the Airport gate while waiting for a flight to sit on the ground next to the charging station. Just a cute and good thing to have with you!

I've been gradually replacing all my bath towels with peshtamel, and Dandelion textiles is my go-to source for the best, softest towels at the most reasonable price. This was my first purchase of the diamond-weave style, and I will be purchasing this style consistently from now on. The overall fabric is even softer and more substantial than the striped version, while still remaining lightweight and quick-drying. Diamond-weave is officially my new favorite!

These things are awesome! They are kind of a blanket/towel hybrid and can be used as either. Lightweight, wrap nicely around you.Quality is nice. Hand washed and line dried, no shrinkage/bleeding/snags.Try their home website, they sell for cheaper on select towels!P.s. Obsessed with their business model - they use no plastic packaging and instead use really lovely paper packaging. Perfect for gifts!

I got these is the orange diamond pattern. Beautiful look and hand, but when I washed as recommended,(luckily for me separately)as the towels became a huge orange lint ball mess and to top it off alot of the tassels unknotted. So, the fringe was a knotted mess with orange lint balls that I literally had to remove with fine tooth comb😡. As for drying capacity, don't know yet, but if they do not perform I will lower star rating and consider sending back as the hassel with the tassels may. It be worth it. I wish there were no fringe to deal with-

The pattern was lovely, but I returned this towel because it was thicker than those from the other popular brand I favor. Odd to send a towel back for that reason, but I've become a total convert to the thinner cotton which dries faster, also folds and packs smaller.

It is very expensive, so I wasn't sure if it would meet my expectations, but it did! I used a microfiber hiking/travel towel before that, but I was looking for something that wouldn't feel so uncomfortable when drying myself (microfiber is super effective, but feels awful). This one is bigger, packs almost as small and feels way better on skin. Surprised it was actually so good. And it's almost too pretty to use as a bath towel as it looks more like a fancy scarf. I feel kind of bad for using it for that purpose...
