Darn nice for the price!
This is a good cheap holster. For the record, I rated this for what it is- a mass produced "cheap holster." Compared to custom holster makers like Kramer or Mitch Rosen, it would compare poorly. That doesn't mean I think poorly of it, not at all. I can't afford the best so look for the best I can get. This is a good choice for myself and fellow 'bottom feeders.' I have worn it for a week now so feel ready to offer a review. The details; It arrived quickly, a few days after placing the order. Another item ordered the same day has not arrived yet. It came in a clear plastic box like package that was fairly easy to open. The holster has a smooth interior as well as exterior. It is contoured very well for a snug fit. I have both a Glock model 23 and 27 and it holds both equally well. I doesn't ride too high which is important for my arthritic shoulders. I had to let a Kramer holster I used for over a decade go because I got wear I could barely clear leather without contorting my body over sideways. To judge how high your piece will ride, note the position of the trigger guard in relation to the belt slot cutout. In respect to those belt slots, as others have reported, I found them prohibitively tight for my 1.5" belt. But, really, that is no big deal. I trimmed one end out with my pocket knife. I improved the radii by using a drill bit in my drill as a rotary tool grinder. I also used my pocket knife to shave convenient angles onto the bearing faces of the slots to facilitate passage of the belt through them. Now I can slide my belt through easily and shift the holster on my hip some if I desire but, it will still stay put for normal use."Normal use." Normal is whatever is normal for you. This holster does not have a retention strap and it is none too stiff so if you are an off duty cop who might have to run and jump in pursuit of and maybe wrestle bad guys, this is NOT the holster for you! But for a private citizen who should not be chasing anybody, a person running away from you is not a threat calling for deadly force, this holster is fine. Using it while walking, climbing into and out of motor vehicles and bending over, my piece has never yet shifted loose. But, with it's smooth inside surface, a draw is fast and easy and stiffening the holster should not interfere with that. Another note on fit; the area w/in the trigger guard is over 90% covered by the holster so there's no need for concern for an accidental discharge by something catching the trigger. A doubly important consideration for Glock toters like myself. (For those who are not Glock familiar, it has no slide or frame mounted safety. One of the safeties is in the middle of the trigger guard.) On another note, there is a front sight relief groove down the top ridge of the holster albeit not much of one. Whether it is sufficient to prevent rubbing the bluing from steel sights or wearing down plastic ones, I cannot as of yet say. Since I do practice my draw a number of times daily, I should have some idea about that before too very long.As a final note, a similar holster I had previously seemed to extend to far around my side and was uncomfortable and difficult to draw from. I purchased this one to replace that one. I am happy to report this fits compactly and firmly to the body, front and back. A G23's butt will stand out a little but, a G27 (or the 9mm equivalents I suspect) tucks very neatly to the body. Neither pistol projects from/through the bottom of the holster which is open. That both protects the fore end of the pistol from damage or wear and prevents debris from gathering in the bottom of the holster. As I said, this is not overly stiff. Reholstering w/out looking can come with a little fumbling. If I can post some photos of my holster, I will show another that I modified as I will this one.The first couple pictures show the modifications I made to the slots (I darkened the exposed leather with a dye-pen.). The lines drawn on the holster were my doing and are purely the result of an attack of sillyness on my part. <sheepish grin & blush> The last two images (but numbered 1 & 2) are of that other holster i referred to that I reinforced with a band of thick leather extended around the mouth of the holster, glued sewed and riveted in place. The alteration is simple and effective and will bring the functionality of this holster closer in line to pricier higher quality holsters for little or no additional cost. In reference to that cost, mine was about $45. I see that as of this writing, it is $38. I called Amazon and they allowed that since it was w/in 7 days of receipt I would get a refund of the difference. It's only $6 but it's the principle of the thing and speaks well for Amazon. I didn't have to wait long at all to be connected by phone and customer service was courteous and helpful. That wraps this up!In closing let me say about the holster that the leather is good but thin. Construction is of high quality but some corners were cut to reduce cost, for example stitching is single line where on some others it might be double or even triple line. But, the stitching is heavy duty and I don't see it letting go any time soon.

Superb holster - and here's how I easily broke mine in!
First of all, this is a very well made leather holster. Like all new leather holsters it will need to be broken in. They custom make each holster to fit your specific make and model firearm. In this case, a Glock 19 Gen4. The fit is impressive from the beginning: even molded to accept the slide lock on the side. The leather is top grain and extremely well cut and sown. Again, like any leather holster this one needs to be broken in. Here's what I did, but understand some may argue against using any chemicals on the leather. When you first seat your gun (UNLOADED) in the holster, you'll notice it's very tight. Mine was so tight in fact, it was very hard to remove it. If I was wearing it and had to draw in an emergency it would have been a comical / critical error. I'm a big fan of Ballistol, and sprayed it liberally inside and outside the holster. The leather loves the stuff, and Ballistol neutralizes the tannin in the leather so it won't interact with the components of the gun. It does darken the leather somewhat, but I thought it was a major improvement as it was a fairly light color originally. I would not recommend another chemical because I've only ever used Ballistol. If you're not on board with using a chemical, that's fine. Skip it. Next, I wrapped the gun in a couple layers of plastic wrap and seated it in the holster. I left it like that for 24 hours and checked it out. It was definitely a better fit, but still too snug. I gave it one more wrap of plastic and back in the holster for another 24 hours. This provided the desired results. It was still a tad stiff to draw, but that fine-tuning will happen on it's own if you seat the(unwrapped) gun it in the holster and draw it a few dozen times. You don't want it too loose, especially since this holster doesn't have a locking strap. I have stored the gun in the holster (not advisable long term, I know) for about a month and it is simply perfect now. Bianchi leather holsters are some of the best out there. This is one you can hand down easily for a couple generations.

Miss labeled by Bianchi
Pro's: Great little holster, rides high on hip and keeps gun in tight, I have five of these for different guns. Great price.Con's: Holster is light weight, I would not use it for a gun on the heavy side. Something very odd about this model of holster from a company like Bianchi, "the gun it says it fits is wrong, sort of". The holster is actually for a Glock 17, not a 19, even on the holster it is stamped model 19. Of course a 19 fits but there is an inch of air space at end of holster. The longer barrel Glock 17 goes in exactly to the end of the holster. Not a big deal I guess but you would not expect that from a company like Bianchi.Just bought another one in brown since I wrote the above. Same Pro's and Con's as above except one thing, the rear belt loop was not cut large enough for a 1and half inch belt. Front was fine, still I am not complaining, only took a few min. with a file and knife to enlarge it.

Great Fit!
This holster is really well fitting for my Glock 19 (Gen 5) MOS.Beware! Like most all leather goods it comes very stiff. What I did is liberally apply two or three coats of Ballistol that softens the leather BUT it does darken the leather - if that’s okay with you. Then I put the Glock into a zip-lock freezer bag, put it into the holster, and work the leather with the gun in the holster, with a strong massage, that both softens the leather and makes the holster more confirm to the guns outline. Perfect! Not mentioned elsewhere: this holster DOES allow a red dot sight to be mounted on the gun. 5-star holster!

Nice holster
This holster is well made, but it is made in Mexico. I wish I would have purchased a Galco. It does fit good.
