This was great for the beach! It comes in a great little pouch and is super easy to fold up and stash in a beach bag. It's very lightweight but durable. It has little pockets that you can fill with sand to hold it down. It's also very easy to shake off and clean. We have five kids, and 3-4 easily sat on the blanket, and we had a little tent to keep the little ones out of the sun.

Used this all over Thailand when we went island hopping... just great portability​ and durability. It's a great size. Fits a family of 4 comfortably!!!

This was the best thing for my beach vacation. It has an attached stuff sack and compacts small to put into a shoulder bag. Very easy to use and it's large. We fit 3 adults on it comfortably with plenty of room to spare. It dries super fast if it gets wet. Great for sun bathing.

This thing is great!!! I have even bought over sized beach towels in the past and my feet hang off and that's nothing compared to my 6'1" fiance. This beach blanket is 9' wide so we each have plenty of room to lay on it. It is also 7' long so nobody's feet hand off. It has a pocket on each corner and one at the center of the top and bottom that we put rocks in at the park to anchor it down. I imagine it would work great for sand too and I plan to find out whenever I can get to the beach next. There is a pocket in the middle of one side that velcros and is convenient for belongings. We also used the packing pouch attached to the opposite side for personal items as well. It was entertaining to watch my fiance try to fold it back up as neatly as it was when we received it but regardless of how well you do (or don't in his case (-; ) fold, it still packs right back in it's pouch. The parachute style material is very thin but durable so when packed it is very compact. It is the same material as our hammocks. I did receive a discount when I purchased it and I can definitely recommend this after how much we enjoyed it.

I got this to use at the park when we go on picnics. The picnics tables are always taken so using this is so much better than sitting directly on the ground. This is very lightweight and folds up extremely tiny. I can fit this entire blanket in a pocket of my purse or picnic basket. The "sand" pockets are awesome at keeping the blanket from lifting up during a breeze. We don't use this at the beach but be place small pebbles or rocks in the pockets to hold it down during our picnic. I like how thin it is because it is easy to carry around but the thinness is also a big flaw. I'm sure using this on sand at the beach is fine but if you use it on top of grass you can feel sharp grass, rocks, and sticks through the blanket. We use this on our deck quite a bit for our youngest son to play on. It's great to pile toys so I can just wrap up the blanket when he's done and bring all the toys back in. Living on the coast and travelling to the beach frequently, I am always on the lookout for beach equipment. This is a great blanket to add to the collection of beach toys, folding up into a little bag no bigger than 4 inches square, and unfolds into an enormous blanket that covers more space than expected. I like the sand pockets, easy to fill and holds the blanket down, but I wish they had stake holes as well just in case for those windy days, because with enough wind this blanket will move.
