Gemini by Crafter's Companion Metal Cutting Plate

The metal is somewhat thin.

If you use this product, you know it's a thin metal plate. Mine came packaged in just a plastic sleeve. Not the kind with padding. It lacked any protection so it arrived dented. The product is excellent. I would give it 5 stars. The way this company packed, I'm surprised it wasn't more dinged up.

This shim was as good as the original. I wish they were a little thicker so they were not as easily dented.

I use this with my Fun Stampers Journey die cutting machine.It works as expected and I am happy with my purchase.

I think it is vwery helpful to get a great cut. I have used mine so much it is cupped and wrinkled. I need to replace it. I have had this original metal sheet for a couple of years.

Purchased for a large Bira machine, fits well however it is so flimsy! Dies imprint on surface which transfers to paper with successive dies. Ended up having to use under bottom plate as a very expensive shim...which curls up after running thru. I have a lawn fawn metal plate for a smaller format machine which I've had for over five years with not one imprint and doesn't bend. Wish they made a large format...this GEMINI plate is JUNK!

Thought these would be same thickness as the mat that came with original machine but they are so much thinner. More like for storing dies rather than using with the cutting plates.

I wish that the plate was more substantial.It is very thin and distorts very quickly despite rotating it each time the Gemini machine is used.It looks as if I am going to spend a fortune on plates, unless my husband can find a stronger piece of steel which is of the same thickness.

Don't now how to use it as a friend got it for her machine but she was unable to tell me what to do. Due to family circumstances can anyone help me pls
