leather outer covering.... and size and shape..pocket size... hip-flask... only design problem for me was the strange metal flap hinged on top..that seemed to serve no function.... be better to have a "metal small chain" attached to screw lid so that you cannot lose the lid when removed...couple times dropped lid on local pier... luckily did not fall through boards into sea.... my old flask I lost altogether, had a small chain holding the lid to the flask when undone.... so when opened impossible to drop or lose the lid.... I did not understand what the "hinged cap" near screw top was for and how it works? As if used and turned flask upside down it leaked...so never use this hinged attachment ?

Bought this for a ski trip - great value for money but sadly not fit for purpose! Luckily I had wrapped the flask in a plastic bag as it leaked everywhere and so ended up in the bin! Very annoying…..
