Update #3: bag is still going strong after 7.5+years of consistent use, used at least a few times a week, used as carry on for travel, pack for hiking, overnight bag, road trips, etc. Using it as my primary travel bag at least monthly, hauling it through airports and then using it out and about while at my destination. I came back to order another one for others in my household. The bag holds up so well against water, stains, and horrible abuse I've put it through. It seriously looks brand new still. Zippers are holding up well. I seriously can't recommend a bag more than this one. It's gone through hell and is holding up so well.Update #2 (7 years): I bought this bag in early 2017 and it's Jan 2024 now. Still my absolute favorite backpack. It's a lot larger inside than it appears so I've been able to use it as my "personal item" on airplanes without having to pay extra for bags (Spirit Airlines, Breeze Airlines) because from the outside it just looks smaller than it really is but just got back from a 2 week trip and everything fit inside. During my boredom during travel I examined the backpack for any damage. It still looks great. I spilled goopy stuff on the zipper years ago so I thought for sure it'd bust one of these trips but it is still doing absolutely fine. Looks perfectly clean still which is amazing because it's gone through hell.Update #1 (5 years): I've used this bag A TON over the past 5 years (it's August of 2022 now). I've traveled with it a ton, hiked with it, brought it on visits home as an overnight bag. It's holding up awesome and still looks like it's new. I love this bag.Original review: I love this bag! I haven't tested how water resistant it is in extreme conditions, but I set it down in a puddle and it stayed dry inside. It rained heavily on a trip and had wet stuff piled on it and it was sitting in a bit of water for a couple hours on a long drive. The bag wiped off just fine and my clothes inside stayed dry (which was a huge relief as I was totally soaked from the rain! fresh clothes felt awesome!) I love the pocket on the front top. I never realized I needed a pocket in this place before this bag but I find myself storing all of the things I might need to keep handy in this little pocket. When it was down by my feet during a long bus ride it was handy to not have to pull up the whole bag, the front pocket was handy enough. I like the side pockets as well, they stored my water bottles perfectly. I got the grey color and it looks exactly like the picture. I'll upload photos later when my phone isn't acting up. Overall it has been a great backpack and has traveled the world with me :) I'll be bringing it on a road trip next week from Maine to Minnesota and back then headed to Seoul in a few weeks. I have a few backpacks but this is my go to, even for long trips where comfort and convenience is a must. I'll update my review if I think of anything to add after traveling even more with it :)

This pack is what I use for flying and road trips sometimes, and it holds a Lot. Comfortable. Easy access compartments. And it Looks Great too! Excellent quality so far and I have used and used it and packed it pretty full. I use it for a couple weeks at a time. I can't say it would last three years if I was using it every single day, but it has held up for my short term use, a few times per year. It holds my laptop or iPad as well as all my personal items, wallet, makeup, a book, snacks etc.etc. Nice size, Looks good and usable. Excellent value for the price I paid. Very happy with this pack. I am short 5'1"-5'2" and it is not too large for me to wear. Straps adjust tight enough, and to me this pack seems big enough for average or tall person too.

I bought this bag to fit my 13 inch laptop, which it does very well. The laptop compartment is padded fairly well, and had plenty of room. I have carried this backpack to school for about a week now, and it has held up well. It is definitely not made to carry all of your textbooks (at least not if they all weigh twenty pounds.)Instead it seems well suited to carry a laptop, and one or two books and binders/notebooks.The organization compartment towards the front is perfect for storing pencils, extra paper, calculator, etc, eliminating the need for a pencil bag.Overall I think it is a very good bag.I have yet to try it in rain or see how it holds up long term.Pros.Well organized.PaddedVery comfortableLightConsCould use a little more space

I don't think I could have picked a better backpack to upgrade to after having the same Jansport backpack for over 5 years. This backpack is waterproof as advertised and has enough space for a 17 inch laptop and 4 (possibly up to 5) 500 page textbooks alongside three of my notebooks. The smaller compartments add even more space for pens, pencils, tablets, etc. As a college student on a large campus I wind up walking multiple miles a day to get to and from class so comfort is a huge issue for me. The padding on the back of this backpack is both comfortable and provides exceptional airflow to my back so it doesn't sweat onto the backpack due to the proximity (like some other backpacks). The nylon holsters on the side are very stretchy and can hold most any drink container (providing that the container isn't exceptionally wide).Aside from the backpack as a product, the sellers themselves had phenomenal communication with me as to the state of my order. I bought the Backpack on Aug 29th and amazon estimated it to arrive around September 2nd. The seller contacted me with shipping information and an ETA for the backpack alongside Amazon's shipping confirmation email. The backpack wound up showing up on Aug 31 (and I am not a prime member) so I was pleasantly surprised with the shipping delivery speed. The seller then contacted me today asking how I am enjoying my backpack and ensuring that I am happy with my purchase. The backpack is quality and the customer service of the company behind it is phenomenal. I highly recommend this backpack and would definitely buy from this company again.UPDATE (APRIL 2017):I had an issue with the zipper lining of the backpack, however, after contacting customer service my issue was resolved quickly and thoroughly. If not the backpack itself I would also recommend this backpack for the support staff behind it.
