This is the real deal for a boy
The nephew I purchased this for was not interested in opening his remaining gifts. His main comments where that it "wasn't a toy, it was a machine". It was perfect for him. Thank you.

Maluvrian Erector Set
I presume it is a wonderful erector set. As I had it sent to my grandson in Florida, I don't know if he has worked/played with it yet. I'm hoping it will be educational and that he will have as much fun working with it as I had when I was a kid 70 years ago.

Mismatched, missing pieces, poor recreation of erector set
Plastic pieces were oversized, didn't match holes. Missing pieces called for in the instruction, and what it did have was hard to work with. Not like the original erector sets

Not that easy!
Sent this to an 11 year old boy as a gift. He said it was the hardest thing he has done. He is good with Legos but had never attempted an erector set. It was hard to assemble - but that's the point - hard as in challenging, not something wrong with the set! He was able to assemble the robot with no adult assistance. He was delighted with his accomplishment.

Parts missing
Stamping process seems poor. Many of the holes needed reaming. Even some of the plastic pieces needed machining. And of course, there were parts missing.
