Perfect for studio monitors
Works great, does what it needs to do. I needed something for a studio monitor, the new desk I have has a stand built in on one side. I spent awhile looking for something smaller, most monitor stands are meant to sit on the floor but I don't have that kind of space. I started checking out desktop monitor stands but they were all way too big.I came across this one, and it works perfectly. It's adjustable over a few inches, and it's solid construction with a nice grip pad. Assembly is pretty quick and painless, there's two different kinds of screws meant for bottom or top, I mixed those up at first. It's almost the exact same size as my JBL LSR305s. I would recommend this to any musician who needs monitor stands for a desk and wants something with a nice, professional look.

Very sturdy. Using as a stand-up desk.
This worked exactly as I hoped for, to raise my laptop high enough to type on while standing. I'm using it with a 13-inch MacBook Pro. At max height I can set the stand on a dresser and the keyboard is perfect standing height (although of course the screen is down low). A great quick fix, very small footprint.

Great Stand for Specific Purposes!!!
Assembly instructions super easy. If I had one complaint it's once you affix the rubber pad to the platform base you can't easily disassemble the center column. But this is still a great stand for laptops! If looking to use for an Apple LED display....might look at other options since the stand will slightly 'wobble' depending on your desk/setup and better suited to a stand with 4legs as opposed to one/center column of gravity.

Perfect height for ergonomic work space
I needed a monitor stand for a more ergonomic work space. I reviewed many monitors stands and this is the only one that had the height I needed...plus it has a flexible range of heights on the taller side compared to other adjustable monitor stands. Very easy to assemble, comes with everything you need. Very solid looking and sturdy. The height stays in place where I want it and is easy to adjust and lock in place. My only complaint is the black rubber mat is very functional and practical, but not at all sleek looking...takes away from the aesthetics of the stand. I could cut the matting to match the shape and size of my monitor's base, but that doesn't help if I want to change out monitors at some point. Overall, very pleased since ergonomic function is more important to me than the aesthetics.

The worst!!! Don't waste your money!
they look ok but the base does not line up with the top at all. I'll be returning these asap. Useless.

Awesome Product - Very Solid/Sturdy
It's pretty straight-forward. It's a monitor stand (though I suppose you could use it for other things). One thing I wanted to point out - it it SOLID. Quite heavy for it's size - namely the base plate which lies on your desk. I was expecting a much lighter/flimsier product. This thing is absolutely GREAT. I have no idea how others managed to mess up the installation. Seriously - a 10 year old can do it. Being adjustable is a perk - I think I'll leave it fully extended (6.5") but it's nice to know I can lower it if needed.

Manufacturing defect
When I read the reviews for this, I thought “I’m good at following directions, shouldn’t have a problem with this!” But I should have paid more attention to the manufacturing defect comments. The issue with mine is the post that connects the base to the top. The holes in the base are in a triangle formation (as are the corresponding holes in the center post). The knob is supposed to line up with the hole at the tip of the triangle. However, the piece with the holes at the bottom of the post was assembled just *slightly* off, so the knob isn’t aligned properly with the holes. As a result, the top piece is at a 15 degree angle to the bottom. Still usable, but weird looking and it took me forever to figure out what I was doing wrong.
