LOTUS & WINDOWARE 2-Inch Faux Wood Blind, 47 by 60-Inch, White

I ordered the 27x38 from the seller "Bravada" and this was NOT as advertized! The item was NOT a Lotus and Windoware product. I ordered 4 other blinds in addition to these ones and this item did not match the others! (The valance on the top was different and the color was slightly more cream than the others) Also, it blatantly says "Graber" on the blinds themselves. I'm very unhappy that this was falsely advertised.

Summary:Purchased this to replace all curtains in the house. The overall look and initial quality is very nice. It is white in color. The mechanical are reliable. It does give a much updated look to the windows. The slats are easy to clean. The slat material can get scuffed easily and it can break.Pros:1) Decent light blocking.2) Reliable mechanicals.3) Nice color.4) Quality packaging.5) Improves window appeal.6) Relatively easy install. Though some people may find it challenging to align.Cons:1) The only quality issue I found is with the blinds slats...they can crack if accidentally pushed. They can also stain easily.

So I remember years ago when my husband installed faux wood blinds in all the windows in our new home...he griped and fussed, but he did it and they looked awesome!!! When I decided I needed to spruce up our den (it had ugly old metal blinds that were bent and broken) the faux wood blinds were at the top of my wish list! We live in a very old (80 years plus) house and finding blinds the correct size that would not take FOREVER to arrive was showing to be a pain...I of course waiting until the holiday season to start looking so time was not my friend on this project! Then I found the Lotus & Windoware faux wood blinds in just about any size you could imagine and they arrived in like TWO days!!! Awesome!!! Best part, once I figured out my very old window (what wood was good what wood was for show, bla bla bla) the install was easy (def use the middle support no matter how narrow your window)! I will say, nothing is perfect, the only draw back, the provided screws did not perfectly fit any of my bits and I have a lot of them...but we made it work! They look great and in time for parties and visits! Well worth the purchase!

These blinds were very easy to install; only took a few minutes. They look decent, and I'm very happy to find them as 22" wide blinds of this style are not usually easy to find in stores. However, as satisfied as I am, they are not perfect. Unlike my the other faux wood blinds that I have throughout the house, these lack a texture. They are a smooth plastic finish, which almost contradicts calling them "faux wood." Also, out of the box, they had a strong smell of sulfur or manganese. The smell went away after having them installed for a week, but it was still strange. Lastly, the bottom wood piece, which is supposed to act as a weight, is not heavy enough. When trying to release the blinds so they come down, the process does not always work well. One side will sometimes get caught, while the other falls, creating an angle that forces me to pull them up and try to release them again, sometimes repeatedly. Still, the blinds look good in the window and barely let light through, when fully closed.

When I received this product my fiancé hung it up for me. The first thing I noticed was how crooked the blinds were hanging. I had bought an open box because it was ten dollars cheaper. The description said there was no damage to the product. I ordered a second blind, this time paying the extra ten dollars for a closed box product. The second blind had the same problem but it was not as noticeable. I am going to return the second blind too. I would not recommend anyone but from this company due to a defect in the product. I have bought many blinds from Lowe’s and they have always been great. The only reason I ordered this one on line was because I couldn’t find the size I wanted in a store.

These blinds are big and sturdy. I am so glad I was able to get rid the flimsy tiny vinyl blinds; they were so hard to clean and finally broke when I attempted to clean a slat.These even came with a manual! This was my first time installing blinds so the manual was a life saver because I trusted the "How to Install Blinds under 5 minutes" video on the internet and it was totally wrong!It ended up taking me 4 hours to install this blind because I had been expecting to "just open the side latches, slide out the old blinds, and pop new ones in" NO! Not every blind has the same holders on the sides. And yes, for this one, I ended up having to drill new holes and so took me several hours to install because oh man! I did not have the strength to drill into wood. That's on me and not on the blind so I won't take off any stars. I just wanted to warn anyone who is thinking of self-installing blinds. It's not a 5 minute job! Be prepared.

These bands are fantastic. Hard to find sizes in the big box stores but I found them on Amazon and through this company . Very easy to install and love the easy to use strings on either side of the blind. Personally like the. More than the 'rod' turn method of opening the blinds.Highly recommend and will buy some more for another bathroom with a smaller window.

This is built well, but there is room for improvement in the appearance. Comparing this to the similar priced premium faux wood blinds from Home Depot, I noticed the "faux wood" pieces on this do not have the fake wood grains giving it the wood appearance, additionally the valance trim piece on this is a little bit too small for the valance piece leaving the edges of the valance exposed. Also the Home Depot version includes side trim pieces for the valance as well. This doesn't not include that so keep that in mind especially if your window is not deep enough or if you are going for an outside mount as the side of the metal valance will be exposed.
