Regent Mitre Recoil IP Shin Guard

This is a great shin-guard for the price. Quality, style and function are all there in a great value. My child's are a size medium, and the shin guard is 8.5 inches long from the top corner to the bottom corner (the sizing charts aren't always helpful with these things). The thing to know is that what isn't shown in the picture is the ankle portion: it's a detachable (Velcro) bottom that is exactly like any other one piece shin guard. It would be very handy as an older player (can have your shoes on but put your shin guards in right before the game and take them off again at the end), but my child just tends to take it apart and lose it. Fortunately, there are two velcro straps on the shin portion so that you don't need the ankle portion...but it's nice to have it.

The only downside about this product is that for me the elastic bands are currently at the limits of how tight they can go and I have relatively big calves. I'm worried overtime that the stretch will make this unusable way before the lifespan is up on it. It woudl be nice if they had adjusters or something. Otherwise I love it.

My daughter LOVES these shin guards! She typically has a rash after playing, but has not had one since she got these for Christmas. I do have to say that I wish the size description was better on here, because I ordered her XL and had to return them (thank you, Amazon - easy peasy!). XL s are meant for people over 5'11". She is 5', so I replaced them with a L. She is very happy.

I ordered the one which was as XL - wrong. Hardly covering the 2/3 of my shin and I'm an average (6' tall) guy. Wrongly labeled or poorly sized.

I wear these for slow-pitch softball. After getting hit a few times and having enormous bruises I figured it was time to get shin guards. These serve their purpose, and prevent any injury from getting hit with a ball coming at you at 45 mph.

Works for the intended purpose and I have no complaints. The received packaging for product was nice and no frustrating wrapping. Feel free to buy.

are excellent, very good stuff and quite resilient. The only problem was that they are a little big because I ordered XL

These shin guards run a little smaller than they should. I have big old bandy calfs and the straps squeeze my legs. Other than being uncomfortable they are fine.
