Dichotomies are illusions
Its okay. Its much easier to just use a traditional compass, as this moves around a lot if you trace your circles with any force applied against the edge at all. Its a great oval maker!

If you need to make a perfect 360 degree then this is awesome
If you need to make a perfect 360 degree then this is awesome. I noticed that when I use this ruler on harder surfice stuff, it moves around a little bit and becomes awkward to use. However, if you want to make circles in soft materials like foam then I recommend this. I use it when I need to make circles for foam and it works great.

It's not bad, but I found using a string to check ...
I used it for measuring in ceramics. It's not bad, but I found using a string to check for consistent diameters/circumferences a lot easier and quicker. It could be useful for other art projects in the future, so I kept it.

As a comic illustrator, this ruler is pretty handy for creating circular objects like balls, planets, lights, radial construction lines, even explosions. I like that I can use my drawing hand to control the pressure of the line as I draw it, unlike a compass. Also, no holes left in my paper is cool too. I just wish that they made a smaller version for around 1" - 3" circles.

Beats rummaging through the kitchen cabinets for the right-sized plate
Light-weight, fairly easy to adjust, and gives you a clear readout of the circle's diameter. Not unreasonably priced.

This product is very easy to use and adaptable to any gourd shape.

It's okay
I've used a few times. However it gets me close to he right dimension but not close enough to what I need it for. I could see it use in drawing and not measuring. I will keep it though, might never know where I could use it again.

read the fine print, it is really small
Thought this would be bigger than it is. For the price it is very small. Thought it went from 6" to 15" but that's my own mistake, it really is max 6" or 15cm.

Does the job but a little flimsy
It's OK, does the job, but rather flimsy and can easily be squished into an oval shape - not really what you want for a perfect circle.

No substitute for a compass and protractor, but handy visualization tool
Producing a clean circle drawing requires quite a bit of care with this product, so usually I reach for a compass instead. However, this product can be useful in product design when you are attempting to select between curves of various diameters.
