Since growing a beard I've done some reading and found that a) it helps to use a conditioner on your beard when showering; b) you need something afterwards once out of the shower.+ Most of the ingredients are different kinds of oils, which you need since oils get stripped when washing/showering.Ingredients are:Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Grapeseed Oil, Sunflower Oil, Soybean Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Beeswax, Fragrance.+ Because there are so many oils in this product, I don't feel the need to order a separate bottle of beard oil. I only use this daily.+ The butters and beeswax help provide some hold when smothing out or shaping the beard.This is NOT a hair wax intended for shaping like one would use on their hair, but it's enough to help flatten out some of those crazy hairs that want to go this way or that.+ The legend scent ALWAYS gets a positive reaction from my wife.She is use to smelling my cologne but now she says, "What is that scent? It is so very different, but I like it."Yep, the legend scent is a nice one. I personally don't notice it, unlike if I put too many squirts of cologne I'd be hacking and coughing. This has a nice masculine, subtle scent.TIP: Use a guitar pick to scoop out a pea size amount, then rub in your palm and apply. The guitar pick works great to dig into your container and leave it there between uses.OVERALL: Nothing to suggest. Great product that helps my beard smell great, look great, and replenish lost oils.

I want to like this product more, it has many positive qualities. It unfortunately has one major flaw, the smell. I'll start with the positives. It does a great job of moisturizing and keeping my beard looking shiny and healthy. It is easy to melt and spreads through my beard very nicely. Here's the thing, I work behind a bar so I'm in close proximity to other people all night and we definitely can smell each other and here's a few of the things I've heard in the week I've had this product."Did you kill a cockroach, it smells like bug spray in here.""Did you spray fabuloso in here, oh wait. It must've been that old lady who just left""Did you spill laundry detergent on yourself before you came in?"So, needless to say I won't be using this before work again. I hope these guys get cracking with some new scents because I won't be buying this one again.

So now I've tried Spartans Trifecta of bear grooming and care products. The shampoo, oil, and now the balm. Wow just keeps getting better. This classic sent of yours is awesome and the sheen in my beard is something to behold. Had dinner the other night and sat in a window seat with the sun shining in. The ladies at the table kept saying, it looked like I had sparkles in my beard. I have a rather large gray beard and after dinner on the way out two of the ladies asked if they could feel my beard. But of course I said, and they did. They couldn't believe how soft it was and Oh how nice it smelled. They wanted to know how I got it so soft and shiny. I told them there was a company that makes products for men's beards that are first rate and this was the net results. Yep I'm a believer. Thanks SpartanPS: My wife wasn't thrilled about these ladies running there fingers through my beard, but I was!!!

I'm hard to please in bead products at this point, but Spartan has their balm on point.The smell, clean. Theres not a better way to describe it. It doesnt smell like soap, but it doesnt smell like flowers or anything else.The stuff. It is smooth. Not solid, and as soon as it hits your hands it turns to basically oil to get into your beard very easily.Only -complaint-, more personal preference, not enough wax. It holds, it goes in smooth, but as I have a bigger beard and tend to move a lot, the hold lets go. I would want it to hold a bit better in the beginning so it could last a bit longer for me.

Very nice beard balm for a couple of reasons! I use this primarily when I get out of the shower. I rub about a finger tip full out of the can, rub on my palms and gently massage throughout my beard. It has a very light scent that I can't truly place, but it smells great, and it definitely takes care of my beard tangling problems that I encountered before using it. Not to leave this important factor out also, but it makes my beard hairs lay down more uniformly and definitely more manageable when combing! Comb now goes through my beard like sliced butter....no problems at all. Great beard balm and overall product! Definitely met my expectations and they might have earned a repeat customer if/when I run out!

First time I've really tried to grow a beard out. I did a survey of all similar product and decided to give this a try. Does it work? Yes and quickly. If you need to soften and control your beard or reduce itching at the base of the follicle it does the trick quickly, just need to re-apply as the hair grows. The smell is fairly neutral and not particularly long lasting. It smells to me like a traditional bar soap. I like using a comb or brush to get it out of the tin and work it down to the skin.

Adds control to my normally "wild" beard. Not the greatest hold, but smells nice and tames appropriately. It's not a styling gel/balm but calms. I have been using this for some time now and is my go to. Amazon keeps it in stock and usually ships fast.
