VonHaus 2 in 1 Corded Upright Stick & Handheld Vacuum Cleaner with HEPA Filtration & Crevice Tool - Blue

Love this little vacuum! I was looking for something to replace my older model Swiffer Sweeper and I couldn't see shelling out $50 to get another one. I found this one for $40 on sale. I've never owned a stick vacuum. I like it a lot. Works great on my hardwood floors and area rugs. We have a cat and a dog indoors and it works great at picking up the hair. I love the detachable hand vac too. Very powerful! This vac is lightweight. I notice I use it more because I really don't want to lug my canister vac out for everything. The only downside is I wish the cord was longer.

The price on this lightweight but powerful and convenient vacuum seemed too good to be true. But it wasn't. It delivers in every respect: easy to use, versatile, effective, attractive, a pleasure to use.

This is the second one I've purchased from Amazon-not sure if it was the same seller. I keep one downstairs for our hardwood floors. The upstairs bedrooms/halls are carpeted (we have an Oreck vacuum for those areas) but I use the second VonHaus, with its built-in crevice tool and stick removed, for baseboard edges, getting around behind the toilets, etc. and for the cat litter that my cat flings/tracks around the washer/dryer in the laundry room (it's a hooded cat box but he still manages to make a mess). With the stick piece and the regular floor attachment in place, I vacuum the bath/laundry rooms' floors before mopping. I've had chargeable versions before but they never hold a charge long enough to finish my tasks and are wimpy from the start with a full charge.This corded one is way more powerful and stays that way, none of the chargeable battery fade-out like the others I ultimately donated to charity. No bags to buy, the HEPA filter is rinse-able. I bought an extra one just in case but haven't needed it so far... I bought the first unit over a year ago and it's still awesome.

First the good: Great at picking up dirt on area rugs and floors; far better than using a broom and dustpan on the wood/tile floors, and even better than my upright bagged heavy vacuum cleaner. No dust kick-back. Easy to clean dust bin and filter. Low noise level. The cons: the on/off button broke after first use, but I expected that after reading other reviews. You have to unplug it to turn it off. Also, the cord should be longer.ETA: I have used this several times since I received it. For some reason, the power button now works. (Both power buttons are fine.)ETA: Now have used this for several months. Be warned: cannot get the right replacementt filter for this color anymore. I have searched the internet. If you are going to buy this vacuum, get another color where the correct filters are in stock.

I'm not sure how to update my feedback but I just posted this below:"This vacuum cleaner worked great for a short amount of time. I only used it on a 5'x7' area rug twice a week and dumped it afterwards. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I just tried using it and it went out. I thought maybe the plug came out of the outlet. Unfortunately, it just stopped working. I really liked this vacuum, and was hoping to have it around much longer than just 1 month and 13 days."Update: I've just left feedback for this item. The vacuum was still plugged in the wall switched on, but not working. While I was emailing Amazon's customer service about the issue stated above it came back on. I didn't have it on long (maybe 3 minutes) before it went out. Perhaps it overheated a little and was taking a break? Well, it's working just fine now and hopefully further action will not be needed. I'll give it 4 stars now.

I usually write positive reviews but I have to be honest and hope that my review helps people.This vacuum is so cheap, of course I didn't expect too much. It was great to vacuum the floor but t 2nd use, the switch didn't work any more, it kept turning on.... I think someone posted the same issue..... so I'm returning it.

This is second one we bought. We liked the first one so much, we wanted one for upstairs. Good suction, easy to empty. Added an extension cord and now it's perfect! Only use "real" vacuum twice a month for deep cleaning.

It worked great and I would've left a 4-5 star for price and quality, until yesterday when it started overheating after only 2 mins of use. It would overheat and shut off (as if someone pulled the plug out). After about 15-20mins of it cooling down, it works again but only for another 2 mins. I've had this vacuum for 6 months and now I have to get another one
