I moved a few months ago and many of my things are still in storage including the remote to my very large screen Samsung TV. I was very afraid that it would cost around $100- + to replace the original, unfound remote or do without my TV for no telling how long. Then I accidentally ran across this remote for around $40- which seemed reasonable enough; however, I thought will it really perform at that price? The people at the store where I purchased the television had told me to be extremely careful not to lose because they were so expensive to replace. As a result. I certainly had my doubts about a $40- product.I have had this remote for at least a couple of months with no complaints at all. It may have taken a day or so for it to make all of the connections, a bit like it might take us a few days to catch on to a new phone or game. But once it did, it has worked as well as the one that came with the TV. I've been very pleased. I'd say it is very important to get the correct numbers from the back of the TV. I was finding that very difficult to do by myself because of size and weight and fear of causing a mishap and damage to the unit. So my way around that was first use a mirror to look back there and locate the numbers. 2nd I took several pictures of this area with my phone. I couldn't really see what I was photographing; it was all guesswork. But what difference does it make? You are not dealing with a film to waste. You can delete as many that need be. If you just keep moving the camera around the area (very slowly) and shooting, more than likely you will have a shot at just what you are after. Now in my case, in order to get all of the information, I had to be satisfied by getting it from two (2) different shots. But that's okay. Who cares? These photos are for your eyes only. They are only information for you. File them someplace that you will remember how to get back to them, for more than likely you will need them again. I have needed mine again, and it was so nice when it dawned on me... "Hey, I have that info; I just need to find those pics!"By the way... No one paid me to write this opinion, it's all mine. Perhaps these numbers aren't so important, perhaps they send out the same remote to an entire class of TV's, but I don't know what that class is, do you? They want the numbers; they are going to get those numbers from me somehow even if I have to stand on my head.
