I read the reviews and ignored them, that was my first mistake, my second was actually paying for this. If you have nothing better to do and don't mind your dinner cold this is for you, it grinds slower than 4 batteries should allow, probably 4 or 5 dinners and you need more batteries, oh and try returning it...actually you can't so please don't waste your money on this it is NOT fit for purpose and an expensive purchase. The idea is good design very poor. Takes forever to grind a normal portion of salt and even longer to grind pepper. Bin job

Over the years we have bought various salt & pepper mills, all of which have ceased to work after varying periods of time. We bought this as we had never tried a 'powdered' cruet before, & so far we are very pleased with it. I find it slightly difficult to hold & operate as I have slightly arthritic hands but it is a minor problem & I am sure most other people would not find it difficult.

This mill works relatively well however using it on average one meal per day for two people it goes through six AAA cells every two months. If that keeps up thats 36 AA per year which on average for good AAA cells (which you will need; cheap ones will not last long) will be £25 to £30 per year. Thats more than the discount cost of the b..... mill!

Nice high quality piece of kitchen equipment. So why not 5 star only one small problem for me. I don't use pepper that much but where the buttons are located on this you can easily accidentally press the salt and pepper at the same time because of how you hold it. Buttons or at least one of them might be better on top.

This item was damaged on arrival as the pepper side wouldn’t work. It looked like it had been opened before as the packaging wasn’t ‘new’. Although it is a good design it is quite bulky.I returned it and didn’t reorder. I don’t think I would recommend this product and not just because it was damaged.
