Colore Colored Pre-Sharpened Pencils Set - 50 Vibrant Colors

I ordered 2 sets of these for my daughter & my granddaughter for Christmas. I added them to some adult coloring books with lots of mandellas and other pictures a few years ago when they were very popular. The pencils were very nice with lots of color variety. They were well liked.

The first time I colored with these pencils I was quite impressed. I own two sets of Prismacolor Premier colored pencils but I wanted some additional shades of green so I decided to give these a try. I was surprised that these were just about as smooth and "creamy" as my Prismacolor pencils. The colors aren't quite as rich as Prismacolor but they're still pretty good. However, I went from being impressed to being very disappointed when the pencils needed to be sharpened. Almost every pencil seems to have a broken core. Every time I sharpen the pencils (using a manual sharpener, the same sharpener I use for my Prismacolors) the points break and fall out of the pencil. By the time I was half way through my second time using these pencils, at least half of the pencils I've used are half their original length. Meaning I needed to sharpen half of the pencil away in an attempt to get a usable tip. Unfortunately I got rid of the box the pencils came in after the first time I used them. If I still had the box I'd probably try to return them since I'm not likely to use them again. It's just too frustrating trying to get a usable point.

I have a love hate relationship with these pencils. Theyncolor and blend so nicely. They are the smoothest pencils I have ever used. The colors are vibrant. The problem is something that ticks me off more than anything. As soon as you have to sharpen them the leads continually break. It doesn't matter what method you use either. What a waste! The picture shows the first pencil I sharpened. I finally gave up. The lead is broken inside the pencil and I try to use it on the side that won't flip out it out. And would love to give these a 5 but what good is a pencil if the lead can't be sharpened. :(

Purchased these for my husband, along with a D&D coloring book. For a first set of coloring pencils, these are actually very nice. Loads of lovely colors, and the color lays down nicely, without the tips being so soft and fragile that they break off. I love my Prismacolor pencils, but I think I will buy myself a set of these as well just for goofing off.

High quality pencils. Very rich color. A few however, are duds . . . as soon as i sharpen to get a sharp tip, the lead breaks . . . i have a few pencils that are just nubs now because the lead must be broken inside the wood casing. Most of the pencils are just fine, though.

Poor packaging. The pencils were all loose in the box when they arrived. On the bright side, they seem to be pretty durable. None of them broke in transit. Haven't tested them yet, as they are a Christmas gift.

I love this company's colored pencils. The colors are vibrant and true. The only complaint that I can come up with is that they are a bit fragile. I wouldn't offer them to children under 10. Glad that I purchased 2 so that I'm in good shape for quite some time.

I bought these as a gift for my grand boy. He let me play with them Christmas morning. I was very excited to find that they lay down color beautifully and are very easy to blend. I don't know how they will sharpen or if they are prone to breaking. If that is an issue, I will be most disappointed, and there will be another review.

Day 1: I wasn't impressed. The first pencil I took out at random (No.855) broke off its point. When I sharpened it, it broke again, so now its only 4 inches long before I've even used it! When I got down to using the pencils for the month page in my journal, I found the pencils pleasantly waxy with a grainy matt finish when blended. I hope, when I need to sharpen them, that there won't be any further breakages.

they last well without breaking so i think very good and will purchase again in the future
