This is a add on pump
Wish I would have know this is a add on pump. You have to buy the two pump system first then add this one to the system. I love how it works and I have the two pump system on my 180 fresh water tank. I use it in that tank to keep the poop off the sand so I never have to clean the sand. I have this add on pump plus the two pump system on my salt water tank and it is great keeps the fish happy. And will work great for when I add my coral.

Faulted after 10 months, Current made it right!
Product out of the box is great. Love the magnetic feature and the mulitdirectional ability. The app with Bluetooth connectivity makes it even better. Multiple settings to create a great environment for corals. I first started with just the lights and the Bluetooth hub. I soon upgraded to an extra light and 2 eflux pumps. I also purchased the wider mounts for my lights. My 75 gallon seapora tank would not fit standard current usa light mounts so I had to order the extra wide version. In regards to the eflux failure. I ordered 2 in mid July 2021. Mid may 2022, my one failed. I took it apart and cleaned throughly but would still not start. I confirmed power by checking the green light on the power supply, confirming it was detected in the app, and cleaned again. Still no go.I filed a warranty claim through the current usa website. I received the message everyone does to not expect a response within x hours.... Current said within 24hrs. I was shocked when 45 minutes later I received a response back asking for more info...The agent that helped me... I'll have to go back through my email to find a name to complement.. asked very simple questions and asked to take some pictures of the failed eflux, along with model and serial numbers..A great response from him was that they would be sending me another out free of charge as I was still under warranty.I cannot say enough about how great this product is and the customer service is amazing. They made a warranty claim easy as pie and did not request return of the failed eflux.I will say that there may be alot of negative reviews about them not lasting, but Current stood behind their product with me and I have had pretty good success for someone who is newer to reef keeping.

Great while they last... which isn't long enough
I really like this wave pump and in fact had two of them for my 230 gallon saltwater tank. I have the rest of the set-up (programmable lights, pump etc.) the trouble is that they don't last. I even did proper cleaning and maintenance. One lasted 11 months the other 13 months. I tried buying new propellers, but that didn't work. They were just dead. Although I initially liked them, felt that they were a good price and worked well with the rest of the system, I opted not to invest more money into buying new ones knowing that they wouldn't last long as well and ultimately be a waste of my time and money. I instead splurged for a red sea gyre wave pump that is several hundred dollars, but I am hoping much better made and will last longer. I wouldn't recommend this product as it lasted only about a year, which is a common problem when I am now reading a lot of others' reviews.

Lasts about 1-2 year max
It’s hard to be too critical because I like the LOOP system a lot. I’ve had three of the LED lights and three of these pumps. I returned one pump that didn’t last two months. And my other two pumps lasted about one year in about 1 1/2 years. Now they’re all gone🙄

Does not live up to its marketing image.
I have a Current USA marine lighting strip with the Loop system controller, hub and remote. This flow pump is connected to the system. Great concept. Lots of wires though are hard to manage. Pump is fairly quiet and worked well for a few months then simply stopped working. They sent me a new pump which is still working a few months now, but my confidence is not high, especially after reading of so many similar experiences.Another point worth mentioning is I do not believe this pump is even close to 660 gph they list. In fact, it’s pretty weak. I also use a 400 gph and it blows the doors off this pump. Seems like twice the flow of this unit.

Prepare to buy a much larger pump than the one you're currently using.
I bought this to replace a 800 GPH pump and it when I put it on constant speed it is clearly pumping more water. But the problem is, I didn't buy a DC variable speed wave pump to run it at constant speed, I bought it to run a sin wave. Sin waves only average 1/2 of peak flow, so this is effectively only moving 525 gallons per hour. Moral of the story, buy a bigger pump than you think you need. In most instances, you can dial it back if you need to. That's the beauty of a DC pump.On to the pump itself.I've purchased the 1050 the 2100 and the current USA 6001 controller.I would rate all three of those items a 4 star. The power supply to the 1050 is massive. When you have enough gadgets for your fish tank that you start considering a DC wave pump, your electrical outlets are probably already starting to get a little scarce. The power supply to this is massive and it takes up multiple outlets. This is unlike the 2100 which has a laptop style power supply, but I give the 2100 4 stars because it is loud. I can hear it across the room. The controller isn't as variable as I'd like it to be. Example, if you synchronize two pumps, you cannot adjust the power output independently. So if you want to sync up a 1050 and a 2100, and you wanted to run the 1050 at 70% and the 2100 at 50% you can't. All-in-all I'm satisfied, but I wouldn't say any of the components are perfect.
