Some helpful items, some that are unnecessary.
Overall, this is an okay cleaning/maintenance kit, with some unnecessary extras. As a band teacher, I see the expensive maintenance kits that are sold on the rental nights by the local music stores, and this has all of those items (plus a few more) at a lower price. I'll hit each one by one (numbers from the picture.1. Swab: Unique design seems to do a good job filling the bell of the instrument on its way through while still sliding through the body/key area well,.2. Gloves: Why do they include these? Very unnecessary, and you'll look ridiculous playing your saxophone with them, unless it's as part of a marching band that wears gloves.3. Neck swab: A bit big for going through the neck smoothly, and the counterweight is a bit long to make the curve, but it works overall.4. Polishing cloth: It's okay. Most of my students are unlikely to actually polish their sax regularly.5. "Triangle cleaning cloth": For what? I don't know6. Neckstrap: World's okay-est neckstrap. It works, but the web-belt neckstraps aren't comfortable, especially for young students. I'll keep this to loan to students who forget their neckstrap and the discomfort from it will remind them to bring theirs next time.7. Reedguard: Very difficult design to use, likely to break a reed as one's sliding it in (I do love reedguards, but there are better designs out there).8. Mini-screwdriver: Can't have too many of these, but will need to grind down the tip a bit more to get it to fit the smaller slots on some screwheads.9. Mouthpiece brush: Works well, and softer than it looks.10. Thumbrest cushion: Doesn't fit most of the saxes we have as many already have a plastic coating. So, the actually useful things out of here are the swab, neck swab, and mouthpiece brush. It's an okay price for just those 3 things, but a lot of unnecessary extras are included.

Very nice kit!
My son plays both tenor and alto sax for his college band. In fact, he is a band major there. I got this for him, and he gives it a five star rating. The accessories (like the thumb pad, reed holder, and strap) are a very nice addition. The fabric the swabs are made of is the best kind for cleaning his instruments, and he likes the two pull straps, one being weighted, on the longer swab. My perspective is that it is a well thought out kit by someone having experience with the instrument. My only issues are the lack of an instruction manual for those with less experience, and it would be nice if it came in a bag or box to keep everything together, instead of the cellophane type bag, which basically disintegrated. Other than that... A+.

Little Big but works
This was purchased to be used in a alto Saxophone that is used daily. The mouthpiece cleaner was the item that we really needed as I haven’t found one of those in other kits. I like that it came with gloves and a nice cloth to shine up the brass of the instrument. The neck cloth was a bit large and bulky. It was quite hard to pull it through and we didn’t see any moisture on the cloth after words. The bell cloth was awesome though. It passed through with out any issue and did pick up some moisture that settled in the curve of the bell. I think this is a nice product for a youth player and gets them moving in the right direction to maintain their instrument. Would purchase again.

Great kit for saxophone maintenance
I ordered this for my son's saxophone. This set comes with a small resealable bag so that you store all of the maintenance items. The kit comes with a plastic reed holder that holds two reeds, a mouthpiece brush, white gloves, a strap, several cleaning clothes, and a small screwdriver. My son did not care for the strap very much but he said he will keep it as a backup in case something happens to his padded strap. My son was happy with the kit and has not had any issues with any of the items that he has used. I do find it odd that it is called a cleaning kit since it comes with several items that don't have anything to do with cleaning, but I don't know what else you could call it.My son is happy with this kit so I think it is a good value for the price.

A good starter kit
This was a good starter kit for a first time saxophone player. However, the quality of material is suspect. The long cleaning device came apart and was stuck in the saxophone but was easily removed.
