LumabasePlastic Luminaria Lanterns, White - Set of 10

These Luminary bags are pre-punched for lights and being plastic, stand up to wind and rain. They are ready made for replacing damaged luminaries.

The white Lumabase plastic luminarias are perfect for outdoors, where I plan to use them. They have a little lift at the bottom when assembled so they will sit off the drive or walk. I used a battery tea lite and the illumination was great. I'm sure a larger lite would give more illumination but the tea lite is nice. I used rice (what I had on hand) in a zip seal bag to give it some heaviness at the base. It was just what I was looking for, simple but warm and welcoming.

I love love love these.! I have been using these luminaries for 15 years. Occasionally I have to purchase these replacements. They are a heavier gauge material but can be damaged by heavy snow ice and people. Please don't get me wrong if they get a crack in the side I can use some heavy-duty tape to hold him together for another season or two. I have six strands of these luminaries . Originally purchased as the complete set with the electric cords and plastic lanterns.

We love being able to have electric luminarias for our neighborhood's holidays. It means we're free to visit friends and relatives on our schedule throughout the evening, and don't have to be at home at exactly the start or end. The only downside is that these get brittle in cold weather, and they really don't do well if used in an outdoor display for the entire holiday for those in a colder climate. (We're in the Mid-Atlantic area, cold enough at Christmas to make these pretty breakable.) But they look great and they aren't too bad to set up... as long as the ground isn't frozen yet, that is. ;-)

I wanted reusable luminaries. I also bought battery votives that gave them a warm glowing look. Perfect to reuse year after year. Remember you must have a way to weigh these down or buy the optional stakes that are available. We used gravel and it was not the best option so next year we'll buy the stakes to go with them.

I used these to line a walkway headed to our front door when we were having a large party. We live in Oregon so I was sure it would rain and it did. The plastic held up perfectly and looked very classy. I used LED waterproof battery operated lights and, for weights, I used short clear 8 0z water bottles that I had peeled the labels off of. Sand or rice or not good options because there is a hole in the bottom of the bag. These looked as good as paper and held up so much better. When I put them away they look brand-new.

They look great, but crack and break after a couple of seasons. If safe to say you’ll need to buy some replacements every year. We use them with orange bulbs for Halloween and white for Christmas.

I wanted to light the walkway and courtyard for my holiday parties. I used the lumabase candleholder, the plastic white lumabase luminarias, and the instapark LCL-24 battery powered flameless LED tea light candles for a worry free party. They looked so nice! And they stayed in place without getting soaked from wet grass or wind.I used 2 tea lights per bag instead of one. The tea lights are dim and they flicker, but I needed 2 in each bag to produce enough light. It rained that night and my bags were just fine. I just dried them and unfolded them to store flat for the next party. I highly recommend this setup for a worry free, adorable way to light a path or courtyard.
