What are the "best ingredients" used in the whole grain feed and WHY is it not listed?

Whole grain chicken feed is 100% sourced from local, U.S. family farms - zero imported grains. Organic & Non-GMO, corn-free & soy-free. Do I have to ferment the whole grain food?

Nope! You definitely don't have to ferment the Mile Four Whole Grain feed, but it will last up to twice as long if you do. Many people have fermented half of the bag and kept the other half dry to see what their chickens like, but most will flock to the fermented feed. Fermenting chicken feed also gives it more of a nutritional benefit than just regular whole grains, but it's totally up to you!

Are the peas raw? Is that good for chickens?

Just dried grains and peas. The chickens were not as crazy for it as I thought they would be, but they did eat it. It is OK for the chickens.
