I bought this battery a year ago before going on a trip abroad. I was content that I was getting an extra battery for my trip, but man... what a disappointment. I used this battery after my original one went out of charges, and I was using this one until it went out of batteries too. So definitely, when the pc went off after it was out of charges, I couldn't start it up again even when I was charging it, getting the battery in and out. Finally, when I started my laptop using my original battery, I gave it a lot of other tries again and again. Each time I put these batteries in my laptop, my pc kept turning off abruptly. I couldn't send it back at that time, since I was abroad. I was very disappointed with it. Now it's just laying in my closet for no use, maybe I will give to the electronic disposable center.

I bought this in hopes of being able to use my laptop without the AC power cord, the battery literally only worked 1 day but i guess u get what u get for the price

The battery worked for a week -- but now is dead, and will not charge. For a Dell 5558. Disappointed.

Doesn't work properly. Laptop keeps saying battery error. Battery disabled.

Battery bulges out of the laptop when installed and thus does not make a good connection, but I was able to get it to work by pressing down on it and was able to charge it to 100 percent. I had planned on using it as a backup battery, and I believe it will work for this purpose.
