Best Constellation Flash Cards currently available
I have several sets of constellation flash cards /playing cards. Some are prettier than this set, and some are cheaper. But I consider this set the most useful one. Ideally, one side would not have lines at all while the other one would, together with all the relevant information. I suggest taking one constellation at a time, maybe those corresponding to current season, and learning them before moving on. It is also important to learn the names of the 1st magnitude stars together with names of the constellations. All this can be done easily with this set.

Great Fun While You Learn!!
This kit of flash cards review 88 astronomical constellations. Not only can you teach your kids the constellations, this deck makes a great Christmas stocking stuffer or interesting b-day present!! The card stock is of a decent quality, and (better yet) which are laminated such that if you spill any liquids on it, or your kid drops it in a puddle while waiting for the school bus on a rainy day, you don't end up with a ball of paper mache!! I took off one star because, although the constellation is listed clearly on the back, other information also listed on the back is in such fine print as to render is either a nuisance to read or null and void as far as delivery of any 411. I think this would be great fun to carry in a jacket pocket or a purse and quiz ones self on a plane, train, or bus to better occupy ones time. A constellation list and color coded cards are all included for your entertainment enjoyment!!

Smaller than expected. Thinner than expected.
Cute! Very very small but adorable. Kind of an "airport gift store" novelty. I def wouldn't buy this again but I'm not disappointed. If it was a smidge cheaper I would recommend but def not worth the price.

excellent!!
Excellent, it has totally fulfilled my expectations, it is ideal to teach a child about constellations. My 5-year-old son is happy with them and has learned many more constellations that he already knew before, even now he talks about "sagitta".

Highly recommended
Well made, educational cards. Love that it has the star names in the constellations! Highly recommended for amateur and future astronomers.

cards stick together a bit, could use higher contrast illustrations
overall definitely does the job, but the cards are sticky (my 52 card set of planets and such from the same company doesn't have this problem - I'm guessing a manufacturing difference in not being able to use the same equipment that a regular 52 card playing deck uses? still, kind of unpleasant and even attracts fingerprints a bit) and the grey-blue illustrations on the Navy background are hard to see. I found myself squinting and holding cards at odd angles to see the images made by the constellations.organizational system looks nice and the cards are otherwise readable and useful. the insert with the list of constellations felt like a bit of a throwaway, considering it just featured the symbols for the constellation families after each, rather than any new/additional information. I'd have liked to see stargazing info/tips, descriptions of the constellation families, star maps, or even more detail on the names and symbols for the individual stars referenced on the cardsoverall will use and enjoy this set
