Q: Whats the difference between Hayward CL220 Off-Line Automatic , and Hayward CL200 Automatic Pool Chemical

The CL220 uses plastic tubing and saddle valves to attach to your pool plumbing. This allows you to drill two small holes into the existing pool plumbing (one hole in a piece of pipe between the pump and the filter and the other in a piece of pipe just after the filter) to install the feeder. It is designed to be easy to install. The CL200 is the same basic unit except that the ports on the bottom are threaded so that you can use threaded fittings to add it to your system. This requires a lot more knowledge about fittings, connectors and plumbing.

Q: Why does the top become hard to twist open?

I have never had a problem with mine , but i only tighten it till it clicks . i have never had any leeks either . when I purchased mine I bought extra o rings and the opener tool but haven't had to use them yet .

Q: I can i stall this on a well system to purify water before entering the house?

I wouldn’t try to purify the water with chlorine. That does not sound safe for consumption. You should check with a local company that purifies water. We had a water softener and a purifier but it used water softener salt and another component was the purifier.

Works great

Dissolves the tabs as it should, better than the in line that I had. Once set up, easy to replace tabs, and that’s it, great quality.

Hayward Chlorinator

I installed this Hayward Chlorinator for my pool.Easy to install but don't over tighten the connections. I only tightened by hand. Works good. Took a few weeks to figure out the dial settings. Now I leave it set for 2 on the dial. I run pool pump 8 hours a night.

Wish I bought this earlier

It is obviously working. I used to us a floater and it never keeps the level the same and I have to refill it every week. With this it is really easy and never needs to worry about the level again. Every time it is perfect during testing.
